Poor Things (2023)

One of the most original, creative movies ever!

So many snowflake prudes hating this movie- maybe you all should stick to Barbie and your redundant Marvel movies.

That said, bravo, Emma Stone, what a brilliant performance. She's such a versatile actress.

I would have given the movie a 10 if it wasn't for the confusing swtiching from color to black and white and back again for no apparent reason. The whole thing would have been superb in total color. But the originality was refreshing and the result was spectacular in all aspects and some very funny moments. I'm so glad producers are still taking chances with films like this- it's so much fun to go to on the journey.

Think Picket Fences with a Curious Mysterious Overtone

Only three episodes have been released so it's too early to give a whole-hearted rating or review but here is what I can tell you right now. The townspeople are.mostly quirky and seemingly carefree for the most part which makes what starts to happen to them even more interesting. But I'm surprised this is called a comedy (even though there are some humorous moments) because there's something really weird going on in Deerfield.

The writing is good and the cliffhanger endings are great, making this a very bingeable show. The viewer will quickly become really curious to find out where the story is going. Since it's categorized as a "comedy", it can't get too dark- but it sure feels like it will go there. I'm a fan so far and intrigued almost as much as I was with Severance.

The Banshees of Inisherin (2022)

Excellent- What REAL movies are all about.

One of the best movies I've seen in a very long time. There's a reason people are saying they say they love it but they don't tell you much about it- and you shouldn't read about it before hand.

If you remember and love what Hollywood movies used to be like before Marvel ruled, this is what you've been looking for. I've read reviews by a lot of young people and they just don't get it. And that's a shame. I highly recommend and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The story, the writing, the characters are all perfect as are the actors portraying them.

It's the type of movie you will want to talk to someone about afterward, It's that good and meaningful.
