Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000)
Seinfeld Lives On
Anyone with the slightest sense of humor, with even a meager dose of intelligence has to appreciate the brilliance, hilarity, creativity and even flow of "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Larry David is genius and all supporting cast members are equally as brilliant! Like "Seinfeld", each episode has so many different aspects, dimensions and memorable lines! People probably think I've truly lost it, when I will just laugh out loud thinking of a particular episode or episode segment - ie:I can never go into a Starbucks without thinking of Larry sardonically expressing his amazement at the idea of "coffee and milk --who would have thought????!! He is so on the mark and has an uncanny way of expressing every one of life's details in an inimitable manner! The show's great, Larry's great - anyone who thinks otherwise is, naturally entitled to his/her opinion but I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't get it-- This is entertainment at its best! If you have no enthusiasm about life, et al - and "Curb" doesn't change that for you -- then, that is truly sad!!! This is "Seinfeld" at its best - Please keep it going!! Thanks for the laughter, especially since 9/11/01 - we all need "curb-like" humor!
Scrubs (2001)
The best network show since "Seinfeld"
With "Friends" finishing up its original run at the end of the 2003 season and although "Seinfeld" original episodes just a memory,(although the reruns are still great) it is encouraging to know that "Scrubs" has been created, developed and continues to grow in its depth, creativity and overall brilliance. The chemistry among the cast members is phenomenal and every new episode is fraught with layer after layer of consistent excellence - like "Seinfeld" watching each episode again and again is not redundant - it is, instead, invigorating as it enables you to find deeper and deeper subplots with each consecutive viewing! NBC has done it again and there is no doubt that "Scrubs" has the potential to continue to flourish with each ensuing year...so long as the original characters' interactions continue, as well. Also, without a doubt, if and when the next list (of the top 100 programs of all time) is released, "Scrubs" will be among the top 25! Yes, Network TV, there is hope for a bright future - just keep putting on shows like "Scrubs" and give these type shows the opportunity to grab an audience like NBC has done time and again!!!!
Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm (1999)
Hooray for Larry David and Cast! Thanks for the hysteria!
Just when we thought only "Seinfeld" reruns would make the laughter ensue, "Curb..." comes along!"Not that there's anything wrong" with "Seinfeld reruns - I will continue to watch them faithfully! "Curb...", however, perpetuates what "Seinfeld" initiated! "Curb.." is the best, funniest, most brilliant program on the air. In my opinion,"Curb... has the ability to make the most downtrodden individual happy with its sheer brilliance, originality, spontaneity, creativity and credibility. Who needs therapy when we have "Curb" to make us laugh!?! Though the following may be a redundant comment - not since "Seinfeld" has there been a more brilliantly produced show - common denominator - LARRY DAVID! He and the entire cast is brilliant plus! Julia, Jason as guest stars are fantastic, too as the chemistry is just so very right on! Cheryl Hines, Jeff Garlin, Richard Lewis, Wanda Sykes - Everyone - they're the best. My screen name explains it all - CurbYourMetsSein (I love the NY Mets, too). I can't applaud, salute, glorify Larry David and his entire cast enough for bringing laughter into all our lives when we all need it the most (post 9/11/01)!I thank Larry David for his eternal BRILLIANCE, HBO for airing "Curb" and On Demand for affording us the opportunity to watch episodes over and over again! THANKS! Best of Luck and keep the laughs coming via Larry and "Curb" - Kudos!!!!!
