What did I just watch?
1 February 2024
Hmm, this movie! The acting is pretty bad and the script is equally as bad. I don't understand how the police didn't find out they did the crime because they both touched so many surfaces in the crime scene. Also, a commercial vehicle was used every time he saw her. The writers have to do a better job in these movies. I'm glad to see people employed but these scripts don't make for great entertainment.

The actress playing the wife looks like she went to the same cosmetic surgeon that the K clan went to. I don't understand the cosmetic surgery trend. Most of the people get the same exactly work done and end up looking exactly the same.

This movie is out of bounds
1 February 2024
Tubi is the same kind of ridiculous entertainment as the Lifetime Channel. The women have absolutely no common sense. The featured actress in this movie has absolutely no sense at all. All the cautionary flags (red, yellow) were flying high a fast. She is in a career where she's suppose to pay attention to details but she pays attention to none of them. I wish they would have a better balance of the ridiculous women versus the women with common sense. I guess I'm the one really out of bounds for continuing to watch the nonsense (I gave up Lifetime years ago). Oh well, when I want to get irritated, I guess I'll see what else they suggest.

Horrible Writing, Horrible Plot and Horrible Acting
27 January 2024
This has got to be the worse script every written. There has got to be more to acting than accepting a script like this. Once you get past the script, the acting is pretty bad also. This definitely qualifies as a very low-budget, d minus movie (or whatever the lowest grade is). The characters played by Robins Givens and Golden Brooks were two of the worse characters in the movie (there were many). Golden has always been a one dimensional in her acting abilities but Robin's acting was never this bad. This seems to be the running theme with Russ Parr movies. The writing is bad, the plot is bad and the acting is bad. Oh well.

The Carters
27 January 2024
I love watching the reruns of Little House (it has a channel on ROKU TV) but must say the addition of the Carter family did nothing for the show in my eyes. I never got use to Sarah and John because they were a pretty boring couple. I found Sarah's behavior in this episode very irritating. First of all, they should have met with Ruthie prior to Jason doing any work for her. Secondly, the way Sarah rejected her son's gift was a horrible response from a parent to a child. I'm sure Caroline would have responded differently and Charles would have spoken up if she didn't. I would have loved to have seen Charles and Caroline age in Walnut Grove and have stories written around them as they aged (instead of having them move away). I'll continue to watch because I have many favorite episode (this was no one of them).

Sad Reminder
23 January 2024
This episode is a sad reminder of the ugliness of racism but it also shows there are many nice people. I learned years ago that those who hate people because of they are different are usually very insecure people and have self-hate.

We still have the problem in 2024 but people speak out more against the hate-filled people.

As far as the episode is concerned, it was a good episode. However, the actress playing the daughter looks too old to be in high school. They did try to make her look younger with the "pre-teen" clothing for the era but it didn't really work. I'm sure it's fair to say that the pool of actresses of Asian descent was even more limited in the 1980's.

Pretty Nails
22 September 2023
The story of Mary and Adam is a cute one. However, Mary is a bit over the top at times but I guess it made for good dramatic tv. It seems that the wardrobe people and writers all forgot the time period the show represented because Mary's fingernails were pretty and dainty. Her nails were the acrylic modern nails (she looked as if she had gone to a modern day salon for a manicure). I don't know a lot about history during the 1800's but acrylic nails were not invented until the 20th century (acrylic nails weren't created until the 1950's and the current method for applying acrylic nails were not created until the late 1970's).

Same story, same outcome
7 August 2023
This type of movie always make the women behave so immaturely when it comes to communicating in relationships. All Amelia had to do is tell Paul what his father said to her at dinner. Instead she chose to cut him off each time his dad had a conversation with her and judge him by his father's statements. I know there are people who don't know how to communicate and are bad at relationships but this storyline can be exhausting. Every so often it's ok to let someone have some sense and communicate effectively with a love interest. I guess the writers, directors and producers think this makes for good entertainment.

Ridiculous!
3 August 2023
There is no way the friend should have been hanging out in the home when the husband isn't home (he's there too often). They seem more like a couple than the actual couple.

A paternity test should have been the 1st thing they did. The husband initially saying that he "trusted" his wife and that he didn't want a paternity test is ridiculous because he clearly had issues with the situation. The wife should have insisted on it herself. None of them are mature. Her mother thinking her child's heritage is not important until after she has her own child is ridiculous!

The writing, plot and acting are subpar!

The Backstory
24 July 2023
I have always enjoyed In the Heat of the Night and continue to watch it often. I have pretty much enjoyed all of the main characters throughout the series. For this particular episode, the writers could have done a better job with telling the story of Virgil's youth. The sound effects for the flashbacks were most ridiculous.

With reference to the subject matter in this episode, the abuser is a classic case of a bullying narcissist. More than likely very insecure and finds security in demeaning/abusing others (as is the case with most abusers). More than like the abuser was abused in life.

Staying in an abusive situation is not only physically dangerous but the toll it takes on the mental state is greater than can ever be anticipated.

Not their best episode
8 May 2023
I stopped watching Grey's in the early season (too soap opera like) and had not seen this episode. There are so many things wrong with this episode. A random person walking around asking for a doctor's office and simply being directed there is ridiculous! I wouldn't think that the higher ups would be so easily accessible to random people. The fact that no one on any of the other floors heard the gunshots when the first two doctors were shot is ridiculous. The hospital has an open atrium for goodness sake! It took way too long for the police to be notified so I'm guessing no one had their cell and didn't think to use the hospital phones. Lastly, a lot of the monologue was terrible.....and the list goes on. The writers clearly wanted an exaggerated episode.

Terrible
26 April 2023
This is one of the worst lifetime movies I've seen. The acting is terrible. The whole plot is silly. Someone turning their back on you before they give you a drink is a tell-tale sign something is up. I can't believe how naive "Andi" was about EVERYTHING. Her laugh was irritating also. She kept trusting a woman who told her boyfriend everything about her. The police officer showing up without backup was ridiculous! They could have had better writing and actors to deal with this topic. If the script was better it could have been valuable lesson to many women who are looking for new friendships.
