Dazed and Confused (1993)
Pretty bad movie..
I must have missed the good parts of this movie. Over glorification of drugs, alcohol, and physical abuse... all from minors. The acting wasn't even that great. If this movie is anything like the 70s I really am glad I wasn't part of that generation but it does explain a lot about how that generation is today. I mean if you are into high school football, physically abusing kids, and peaking in your life during those times then i guess this is the movie for you. Oh and pedophilia.. let's not forget the fact that Matthew Mcconaughey literally said a line that should put anyone in prison. I'm sure people are going to say "times were different then and it was acceptable".. it was never acceptable or right. Nothing was good about this movie.
Sammy Slick: Vampire Slayer (2023)
Pretty terrible from the beginning to the end
Terrible plot.. terrible acting.. terrible cgi.. it really doesn't make any sense. You are introduced to Sammy Slick (yes thats his real name) who is a private eye that's also a vampire hunter. He gets a job to check out a strip club and finds out everyone there is a vampire. The acting is really atrocious.. I have to mention this several times because the main character breaks the third wall on several occasions. The vampire stake is completely unrealistic (I know.. its a vampire movie) and looks like the bottom of a fence post that was painted silver but there's literally no way it could be functional. The actual death of the vampire was pretty lack luster and definitely could have been a cool factor but they missed the bill. The whole flirting thing going on with the assistant was pretty hard to watch. Lets not forget to mention the camera work.. shaking the entire movie.. even during still shots.. set it on a shelf or something.. then to tie it all off.. multiple words were misspelled during the credits. I think it could be some secret code or message but the movie was straight trash so I didn't care to find out. Skip this one if you are in the edge about watching it.
No Hard Feelings (2023)
Is this the direction RomComs are going?
Watched the movie and was thoroughly disappointed all around. This movie should have been a PG-13 movie with some innuendos thrown around. I was honestly curious as to why it got the "R" until Jennifer Lawrence busts out of the ocean with a completely full frontal nude scene where she fights some teenage kids. This part was completely unnecessary in the movie as was a later scene with a chinese finger trap. Why do the writers and directors feel these types of scenes are ok to toss in a movie? Even as an actress she should have considered this scene a little bit longer before jumping on board with it. The plot was ok and really could have been a good movie but the few scenes really took away from paying attention to it. Hollywood really has lost its touch with these "Blockbuster" RomComs.
