Here are four ideas for creating homework that will appeal to any student.
1. Give your child a helping hand

2. Use social media
Have the children create a profile of a historical figure or literary character on social media. This task can be used in lessons in any subject. It will "bring the disciplines to life" in the students' imagination. Explain to the children that, apart from being fun, the task will help them imagine themselves as a historical figure or literary character, allow them to better remember biographies, understand ideas and attitudes. Pupils should have the freedom to be creative (the more details the better). But must remember to be tolerant (it is forbidden to offend someone) and truthful (no misrepresentation of facts). Also, be careful to prevent children from developing an Internet addiction.
3. Use a video format
Suggest that children create a short video news report, an interview with a historical figure or an advertisement for an invention, collectively act out and edit a short film. The film should relate to a specific curriculum topic (e.g. an interview with C. Darwin). Pupils should clearly understand the terms of the assignment and the algorithm for doing it. They may go partially beyond the limits stated by the teacher and use their own, author's vision in completing the task. Children may make regular thematic videos or try to create their own versions of well-known TV programmes, talk shows or interviews.
4. Create student blogs

They should talk about their impressions, thoughts and emotions. Encourage students to be active in the comments (children can ask questions, support the novice blogger or argue with their position).
