Not an Underdog Story
18 September 2023
This show is really well done and entertaining. It's great to see the behind the scenes of a small football club and to get to know the fans and players. I enjoyed the first season.

However I couldn't make it though the first episode of the second. To be clear, this is not an underdog Cinderella story that they are trying to market it as. If multimillionaires come in and take control of your club and out spend everyone else in the league, you are NOT an underdog. Now Americans are buying up all the gear and even visiting the club to "support" it? What a marketing scam.

There are many fan controlled clubs that do have amazing underdog stories. Check out Bundesliga clubs such as Union Berlin going from the 4th league to now playing in the Champions league, Heidenheim going from the the 5th to first league for the first time this year, or other inspirational stories such as Frieburg. These clubs deserve a docuseries, not the foreign investor owned and controlled Wrexham.

One of the Funniest Shows EVER!!
30 October 2022
Highly recommend watching this show. I can't believe I just found out about this show and that there's only 2 seasons! One of the funniest and smartest shows I've ever seen. Great acting by all the cast.

Sweet D is the absolute best!!! She's so funny and unpredictable and can totally carry this show.

Please make more seasons of this show. We need more of it in this world of Covid and everything else found on in the country these days. Please somebody pick this up ands keep it going. The writing staff is so smart they must be brought back to bring us more laughter and joy in our lives. Please!

Beautiful and Amazing!
6 September 2022
This was such a great surprise find and absolutely loved by my entire family. Such an important story to tell about the history and culture of indigenous people in this country. An excellent production and superb acting made this a gem of native cinema, the original and greatest storytellers.

Although so much of native American colonial history is dark and traumatic, this movie maintains a hopeful and family friendly presentation, but also without hiding or sugarcoating it. An amazing educational accomplishment.

Highly recommended for all age groups and especially for people looking to learn more about the Chickisaw nation and their history.

Disappointing
6 August 2022
I had heard much about the respectful treatment of the Native actors in this show I decided to check it out. I unfortunately couldn't make it past 2 episodes.

The basic premise of the show still seems founded on myths and lies of Westerns. A heroic European rancher "protecting" his land from a Native nation trying to reaquire their sovereign ancestral lands? What a joke. In addition, needing to use the son married into the tribe reeks of "Dances" style white centering when including indigenous characters.

Brilliant Acting

How do you portray generational trauma on the screen? Watch this movie and see Michael Greyeyes do this brilliantly. Has any actor attempted to do this let alone so masterfully? Difficult storyline but beautiful and much appreciated.

Numunuu Language!!
6 August 2022
Simply amazing to see a film in an indigenous language. Hello Hollywood, more please!!!! The acting was amazing and the Numunuu language was beautiful and amazing to hear. This movie is an inspiration to not only have the story centered on native people without needing a white focus point, but a fierce Comanche female lead at that. Trailblazing and inspirational!

*edit-I lowered my rating because it was recently revealed the lead male actor isn't even Native American. An egregious violation and oversight.
