Growing Up (2018)
1/10
Terrible.... not even a try to create a story
28 April 2020
After watching this comedy, i feel pitty for the actors. It is a hard profession, they cannot say no, they cannot miss an opportunity.

At the beginning it seemed obvious, that try be a remake of "Life as We Know It". But after the half of the film without happening anything at all, i understood that was a drifting boat lost in a great ocean.

Make a film cost huge human and economic efforts. In this film it appear many famous actors that means budget. Without a decent script, the value of the film is null.

Waste just a cent in projects like this one has not any logic, is completely unbelievable.

I feel pitty for all the actors and technicians involved. I feel shame that a terrible project like this

Other awesome film of Haifaa Al-Mansour
21 September 2018
Extraordinary film that talk about all the uncomfortable issues of our societies, anywhere.

I watched the film without knowing anything about it, and i was impacted for the sensibility of all the things that show. I was curious about who was behind this netflix production, and i was right thinking it was a brave and great woman.

Haifaa Al-Mansour has made few films but it is the kind of films it should more made. I am tired of finding empty and stupid films without values, without sense... pretentious and expensive, waste of money and time.

This production may connect with all cultures and countries, it has an universal feeling, that claim for the authenticity, and the simple things beyond the conventionalism and rules that chain our lives.

Dare!

Ben-Hur (2016)
1/10
Terrible remake
26 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
The original Ben Hur has been the most awarded film ever. Today everyone can enjoy the 212 minutes of the original film and appreciate all the nuances.

This film is very far away from the original story.

It could be SPOILER

Terrorists, like the zealot who shoot the roman is shown with excessive sympathy. That miserable sentence unfairly an innocent family. Messala cannot do anything.

Space and time is forced to make converge Juda and Jesus several times. But the extraordinary and emotive miracle of the film is canceled.

The characters are weak drawn, without any deepness. Nobody can resist 5 years in galleys, like Judah does, but that is a fact that must be marked. The revenge makes him survive that situation to come back to his home to find his family. In this version, Judah has no blood.

The omission of the period of the rebirth of Ben Hur in Rome, that is a main part of the story, is unforgivable. If they wanted to restrict minutes, they could do it overall but not cutting this part.

End of SPOILER

It hurts to watch a remake like this one. From the beginning you appreciate that is a bad written story, but the end is even worse.

In the last years I have seen some free remakes of great films, that had something interesting. In the Ben Hur of 2016 i cannot find anything positive. The great original story is turned into a sad and poor tale, with poor characters.

Have you ever seen a real coconut? Terrible animated film
9 August 2015
Have you ever seen a coconut? IT seems the creators have no idea how a real coconut looks like. I have never seen a modern animated film with so many mistakes, and incoherences.

I expected much more from an animated film. Just taking in consideration all the time and effort it gets to create a film of this genre. That is why it is a pity that people waste time and money making a film of such a low quality. I have to say that the work of the animators is great, but it seems not to be a screenwriter.

When you tell a story, it doesn't count the effects and the technical quality. The most important thing is to have something to tell, something to teach, and know how to tell it. After Toy Story of Pixar animated films have demonstrated that you can take advantage of animation to create amazing products.

To have a good movie it is only needed 2 main ingredients: plausibility and credibility. Without them you have nothing that worth it. People is not stupid, and children are much more intelligent than the director of this film consider.

PS: I can see a inferiority complex of the director setting a protagonist in Chicago. Being a Spanish movie full of construction worker it was easy to imagine an Spanish Tadeo. Maybe he sinned of ambition, when putting all the texts in English. Anyway I wouldn't be proud of that stupid protagonist. Terrible the scene of the torero and the jaguar...

Empty film, neither Max... nothing but violence and effects
23 May 2015
I enjoy a lot Mad Max 2 and i was willing to see the new one. Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron are great actors and everything pointed to be more than right. It shouldn't be difficult.

However this film is more or the same commercial trash: effects, explosions and many violence. I regret for spending money in it, it doesn't worth it at all.

The film is a big deception, Mad Max has a secondary role and he is just a silly beast, meanwhile Furiosa is the main character, she is fine but nobody goes to the cinema looking for her. And the models that don't contribute anything...

There is no script, plot or characters, but accelerated scenes, explosions and noise. Our life is too fast and noisy to add more. Why the accelerated scenes? like in the old movies?

The purpose of this film seems to make us dumber. I feel pity for the complicity of the critics. Money rules, but bad cinema is bad always.

I feel very sorry, it could have been something good. It wasn't difficult. But it follows the same guidelines than the other stupid and commercial films.

Don't spend money or time in this failure. Humans are born intelligent for something better than this.

Begin Again (II) (2013)
9/10
Creativity, inspiration and fun, lovable!
25 February 2015
I just love when I don't know anything about a film, and I get a great surprise.

Begin again is inspiring, funny and hopeful. After watching it you will just want to create something great, you will to start living your own life, to follow your passion.

Fear may paralyze our life, it makes us smaller. But we have to listen our intuition and pursue what we want. After all we are made of dreams and life is made of failures. We have just keep walking. When a door get closed, another one get opened.

I don't wanna say anything about the plot, you just see it and enjoy it as i have done.
