I've always loved Father Brown. However season 10 is very different from the previous seasons. I looked at the credits and they have the same writer as always, and yet something's off.
The soutions to the murders arrive out of the blue. No lead up, just Father Brown going directly to the murderer and telling them that he knows everything.
The cast has changed and while I miss the old cast, the problem with the show has nothing to do with the cast.
They've got 45 minutes to wrap up the murder. It's got to come quickly, however the grounds for the Father's conclusions are not hinted at or even shown how he comes to that conclusion, as it used to. It's impossible to "play" along and take guess as to who did it.
Whatever has happened to this season, I hope they return to the old format before the program is dropped.
