Bizarre
23 August 2022
This story was really strange. It gets a 7 because it kept me intrigued, but I can only summarize it as bizarre. The plot can best be described as a scrapbook from a famous writers life. There's no real driving force in the movie, and while the movie kept me interested, theres no possible deeper meaning long after you watch it. It's one of those indie films that plays a bit too much with story cuts and sex scenes. Perhaps Im just unfamiliar with Shirley Jackson's work and it is in the style of one of her books, but to an unenlightened viewer, expect to be confused and expecting something to happen next that never comes.

If You're into Weird Movies, This One's for You!

Warning: Spoilers
I go into all horror movies expecting to either be entertained by the story progression ir amused at the production value, and thus movie did not disappoint. It covered a pretty serious topic of psychological and mental abuse but had such a hilarious "horror" concept that the kind was not solely attached to the actual psychological torture in the movie. The horror scenes were grotesqye, yet laughable and maybe it was supposes to actually freak people out but it seems like it's a lot deeper than "Men are babies that ruin lives and follow their excesses around and forever cause pain". While the men act piggish to the main character, its clear the real villain is the ex-husband and the evolution of the movie was strangely gripping and thrilling. I'd definitely watch this again.

Also, at the end, the best friend was pregnant and I think the man constantly being reborn meant that her baby was his and would continue to psychologically torture her for as long as she lived, and if so, that is some *French-kiss* level storytelling.

If you find bad shows funny, this is your show
24 May 2022
I found this show on accident and I was very high. I watch Tyler Perry TV shows to laugh at them, and the overacting and the terrible dialogue are a win. The show has stilted characters, robotic interactions, and does not try to handle serious topics seriously as his other shows have which makes the show less funny. The movie is reminiscent of a Disney show that got enough money to have good production but lacks talented writers to make it serious. If you love Tyler Perry ,(one, judgement, and two,) this show will disappoint you since it's not up to par with the rest of his work, but if you weren't planning to take this seriously, this would be perfect for you.

Everything You've Seen Before Done Wrong
9 April 2022
This movie not only takes the mental health route by demonizing someone who is mentally unwell, but it turns it into a trite and ridiculous plot that follows our single white female on a quest to save her name. Aside from a few minor intriguing parts, this movie is not worth the watch and definitely isn't with any money.
