It's more than I expected

A beautifully written interesting story with memorable cinematography. The actors are amazing, the subtle hints of emotions are truly beautiful.

I never would've thought that a show deeply rooted in the catholic church would ever interest me, but it uses beliefs in such a unique way that you can just forget all that.

The trauma each character has to deal with is explored thoroughly even though they don't necessarily talk about it. It's shown through the actions and emotions of the characters.

I honestly believe that it's a show worth watching, and the title or the relation to the church shouldn't scare you off.

Deserves appreciation

Not knowing what it was I binge watched this movie. It wasn't a waste of time. I like psychologycal thrillers and this is one of the better ones. It's not too ,,scary,, but still makes you bang your head in the wall time to time. I recommend it to the ones who liked The girl on the train, Thelma or Sightless. You do have to have a certain taste to appreciate the movie as it is but you definitely should try.

Well, holy sht

I planned to watch this as a background noise while I try to sleep a little. Maybe the only reason I ever put it on my watch list was the lesbian part of the movie, and I won't deny it. (the lesbian part of the move did it part perfectly)

I was always a big fan of movies that are based on real life, and hell, I wish it wasn't one of them. They way it ripped me apart more and more every minute and then just shoved all the disgusting, unbelievable, dreadful pieces of past down my throat, and then left me with the feeling of shame and pain because they died for something so simple and so stupid.

The thought of someone dying because of their beliefe, love, nationality or any other distinctive marker makes me sick. Humanity is sick, it was and it will be, no matter how hard we try. We are disgusting yet so beautiful. At least we could try.

Warning: Spoilers
I can only praise this work of art. The series was photographed beautifully; the story is a 10/10; the caracters are well written, their motives are clear and understandable, the caracter developmente is perfectly noticable and also well written.

I love that they presented the witches in a total different way, I mean the human (in this case witch) voice being the base of the magic is fascinating and surprising, a world where human and witch can live in harmony is an ideal and beatiful world.

I really love and appreciate that they weren't afraid to put the LGBTQ representation that we should have in this series, that one of the lead caracters is openly gay and that her relationship is written so beautifully, that the scene where Scylla and Raelle reunite in season one can still make me cry. We also can't forger B, my favourite nonbinry witch, who gave me so much courage during my coming out.

This series gave me something no series will ever give me again. I hope you can find it as beautiful and magical as I did, and I can' waite for season three to finally drop.

I just did a double flip
18 March 2022
I started to watch it because im a lesbian, and you know, representation, but is definitley left me unable to speak.

Its not a perfect horror and im not even sure i'd call it that. It's more like a psychothriller, which is just enough for me.

It had a lot of turns, sometimes I had to go back, because i didn't catch something that was way more important than I thought.

It definitley had it's own beauty and is on my top 15 movies.

I recommend, though sometimes you'll be better with a strong stomach.

I was surprised

I didn't expect much from this movie, I just started to watch whatever came next on netflix. I won't say that Noomi Rapace is in my top 10 actor list, but now she definitley moved up.

First, i'd like to say that the film was beautifully photographed, and that was maybe the first thing that got me to actually watch the film and not just use it as a backgroung noise.

Next up, i am a really big fun of everything that has anything to do with psychology and trauma and this movie had it all. Maybe it wasn't that visible, but it gave me the satisfaction to figure out that what triggered who and where did their story started.

I was expecting a brutal action movie with blod and fighting scenes with shaking cameras, and eventhough they had some of the things i have expected it was still way more deeper and interesting than some other reviews might say.

I honestly recommend this movie and hope that you will find it as fascinating as I did.
