Orphan (2009)
Good twist, great performance from Furhman, predictable ending
This not a scary film by any means but it does really well to build the suspense and culminates with a great twist. Unfortunately after the twist the ending is quite predictable and disappointing. Would have loved the directors to have taken the ending a different way to keep Esther alive, that way they easily could've made a sequel. I guess that's why they made a prequel instead.
It's just way too predictable when the main protagonist, aka the Mother, survives with the children. If this were a true thriller/horror all of them would've died. That would get people talking, not many films have the guts to go that angle and we know what a sick world we live in so wouldn't be too unrealistic.
Murderville: Triplet Homicide (2022)
Marshawn makes this episode great
I though Marshawn was excellent in this episode, surprisingly a lot better than some of the other professional actors in this series. He didn't break character once and was naturally hilarious and real. The episode itself wasn't the strongest in terms of plot but Marshawn and Arnett were a great duo.
Murderville: Most Likely to Commit Murder (2022)
Best episode in terms of story
This episode for me was the best in terms of story and performance by Will Arnett. I thought Kumail was Ok but not great, a little stuck up to be fair. But he did do some good things. This episode and the first one with Conan are a must watch.
Murderville: The Magician's Assistant (2022)
Conan and Arnett are a brilliant duo
This was easily the best episode and not for the plot but just because Conan was on point and he and Arnett had great chemistry. I though the episode with Kumail Nanjani had the best story but Conan provided the best guest detective performance. He is hilarious.
Murderville: Heartless (2022)
Pretty darn good
I though Sharon stone played it well, she was quite cool and witty in this episode as well as funny. The episode had some great moments too and Will Arnett was brilliant again.
Murderville: The Cold Case (2022)
Ken Jeong lost my respect
I really enjoyed this sceries, Arnett was brilliant and so was the rest of the cast in terms of staying in character no matter what the guest stars did. However Ken, who I expected to be best suited for this role, almost ruined the episode by laughing and breaking character 90% of the time. He took it way too lightly and I think it was an insult to the other actors and whole crew in general.
