Red, White & Royal Blue (2023)
THE CHEMISTRY!!!
When I first read the book, like everyone else I also had a specific type of Henry and Alex in my mind. Like how would they look and how would they act in real life. At first I was skeptic because they already swapped the height. (They may look the same height but Taylor is slightly taller. Source: Casey measured it herself on insta). In the book it was one of the things Henry used to tease Alex. I thought they were gonna ruin this. Also I had only watched works by Nick not Taylor. But as they started releasing clips and trailers and teasers, Taylor and Nick looked like the very same Alex and Henry I imagined. Did they change a few things? Of course they had to. It's a movie. Though I feel it would have been better as a series. That is my only complain. It was short. Well also maybe the thing that the Miguel guy talked about Alex's eyelashes not Henry lol.

Give it a try if you want to get frustrated
I don't know why is it trending? I seriously don't know. The story is bland. Like really really bland. It could have been a 10 minutes short story instead. The story is about how a detective gets involved with a perfume maker who k/ills people in order to make a perfume that will make everyone fall in love and there'll be no hatred in the world but instead he ended up making a perfume that only increases lust. The detective was totally bs. She left everything just to get a man's attention by using the list perfume. The whole making perfume using human glands didn't make sense because instead of perfume it became something like a potion. This isn't a fantasy movie then why were all those particles were flying like magic?

Worth a watch
I don't know what people really expect form a series! Obviously it will take time to build up the stories. It's not a movie a series. It's definitely worth a watch. First three episodes will leave you confused who is who. This who is who will keep you anticipate more and more. It kept me hooked up till the very end. You will sympathize with one twin and then you will feel like she wasn't a nice person either. It was really interesting. And the mind game one twin played with another one says a lot about how people manipulate other people using the word family and trying to protect them and other bs. After all the things happened, It was nice to see them becoming their own person by the end.

"inspired by memories of murder"
I don't even know where to start. Not gonna lie they had me with the description and the name itself. But as I kept watching I could see the similarities. Later I found out it was inspired by Bong Joon Hoon's masterpiece memories of murder. You guys shouldn't even use the word inspired. Totally failed the original movie. That was made years ago. And in today's technology they still couldn't find the killer. Acting, direction, plot everything was garbage. Memories of murder made us hooked to the end and was a real story. Also they caught the killer in 2019 because of the advanced technology and yet Bollywood thought it was wise to make a "inspired" movie 20 years later. Total waste of time.
Station 19 (2018)
WHY? NO SERIOUSLY WHY?
I spent my whole night binging on the season one thinking it'll get better. But it doesn't. It was supposed to be a first responder show along with few personal stories. But NOPE. They are having sex now and then. It's more like few emergency between their sex fantasies. And the scene when Andy woke up from her sleep after hearing the bell, mannn it was so tough to continue after that. And yes she overslept because she was having sex all night with her co captain. Is that how a first responder handles a shift? Definitely not. They do have personal lives but they definitely not bring that to the fire house!!!!

A must watch
To the non teumes, this is the first web drama of a 6 months old rookie K-pop group called Treasure. Teume is the fandom name of Treasure. The story revolves around how two brothers who are twins, got in to the high school and got closer to the famous boys. Yes this drama has the same cliche BOF plot but you'll definitely enjoy it. Chemistry between who played as main leads is really good. Note that they are not actors and just debuted. Give it a try.
Bonus: They didn't make anyone play the girls role. This is an all boys drama. It has BL vibe more than some actual BL dramas xDRead More

Not your typical vampire
First of all, the guy who played the character of the vampire I'm not gonna believe until someone shows me his blood test report that he ain't a real vampire. Maannnn he looks like a real vampire.
Okay so moving on to the actual thing, I'd like to start with the bad things. It was rushed. Like wayyyy more rushed comparing to any other Viki series. 11 minutes for 7 episodes and 18 minutes for the last episode wasn't really that less. Even if we eliminate the timing of intro and recaps we still get around 80 minutes. And the storyline wasn't strong at all. Not gonna lie, me being a Shadowhunters fan is kinda offended. Who are into vampire and shadow world thingy would agree with me too. And since you are reading after seeing the spoiler tag, yes he died. I mean the vampire died. Vanished just like that due to what some vampire anemia? No silver sword, no high exposure of UV ray, nothing. Also this vampire of ours walks freely in the sun. Among all the things that couldn't fit, the most important thing wasn't found again, in a KBL. CHEMISTRY. Well I don't think that's surprising anymore to us, right?
The good thing is both of the actor are really good at acting. The vampire one even looks like a vampire. But I think they just don't go with each other. Or maybe needs to work more on building their chemistry. They have got potential just needs to push themselves more. Also the OST is really good.
Blueming (2022)
How did they do this?
The story is based on a manhwa but in the drama they followed an almost different storyline but not different at the same time. In the manhwa there were no filming scene, no telling Siwon's life through a movie, no Dawoon telling his parents to select the movie and Dawoon's mother was a sweetheart. In the manhwa Siwon was bit more of an a$$hole and Dawoon was a puppy running after him. In the drama Yoonjung never confessed to Siwon.
The rumour on the internet and Siwon's childhood photo getting leaked was more intense in the manhwa. They handled the situation more savagely. In short the manhwa was more of a them being savage and the drama covers the same thing but a sweet way. That is why they get all the positive feedback from me. The drama and the manhwa both are 10 on 10 in their own way. The awkwardness you can see in Siwon sometimes is because he is awkward in general. They talk about his in the manhwa. It wasn't them being awkward while acting. When Dawoon dreamed about Siwon after their fight, you can clearly see Siwon being different, as in clingier. The actors did a great job here as well. 10 on 10 again. Also they didn't introduce two important characters which I assume leaves a door for second season. Or should I say one? The guy singing at the beach is one of them. Siwon and Dawoon's friend Bawoo (the guy with glasses who saved Yoonjung form the stalker) was an out gay in the manhwa and the singer is his love interest. The other one is Dawoon's cousin. They had a lot of history. I'm highly anticipating a second season. They need to cover Dawoon's struggle too. Overall, hats off to the whole team.
Tenet (2020)
Can't hear properly
Due to the unnecessary dramatic music dialogues can hardly be heard. I watched the whole movie following the subtitles. The concept is actually way simpler than other Nolan movies but they made it unnecessary long and complicated. And the character kat doesn't fit the whole thing at all.
Not Me (2021)
A group of social reformers but comes in gay
Before I say anything about the series I want to acknowledge their makeup team. That might be weird but it'll be a crime not to. Their whole makeup team did an amazing job on the whole cast. You can even see their pores and bumps and acnes which is not a common thing to see in Thai dramas even east Asians dramas in general which eventually made everything look way more realistic. Kudos to the whole team.
Then I'll come to the music. (I know I'm weird but it needs to be addressed) Every single song, music, tune they used for so perfectly to every single scene. The oyeoyeoye tune is still ringing in my ears. Again a 10 on 10 performance.
Then comes CHEMISTRYYYYY. OffGun have always had a great chemistry but in not me they outdid themselves. There wasn't a single awkward moment between them. Even between the second couple. It just happened so naturally. I hate to compare things but for sure it made me feel like watching western tv shows. No awkwardness and all. The straight couples were kinda off though. Black/Eugene and Gram/Eugene but I think it was tolerable somewhat. Usually it's opposite. The direction was so smooth that it made me feel I'm watching them in front of me.
The story was something new for a BL drama. Not an unique plot obviously but not "not enjoyable" as well. Who doesn't enjoy evil rich exploiters getting smashed. Overall it's 10 on 10.
9-1-1: Lone Star (2020)
Can't with the ratings
I seriously need to stop believing in ratings. High ratings and a good series are not relatable anymore. I was hesitating starting the series because of the ratings. 7? Seriously? When 911 gets 7.9? It's a spin off of 911 but I liked 911 lone star better. Cliche? Yes. But which series doesn't have that. But that doesn't make the series any less enjoyable. And the REPRESENTATIONS!!!!! They will always have my respect for that.
IO (2019)
Loved it
Everyone has that one movie which they take very personally. IO is that one for me. I get the frustration of people and tried to hate it as well. But I watched the movie thinking myself as Sam. And as an environment student, a nature lover, I'd also go for any extend to find the last possible way to save the earth. There are millions of stars and planets out there but I'd never trade earth for anything. Just like Sam never did. People like me should definitely watch the movie.
Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments (2016)
It's amazing
I was giving the series a second thought after seeing the ratings and now I'm heart broken. Seriously this series doesn't deserve to be on 6 something ratings. It should be on minimum 7 something. I started the series only because I liked the chemistry between Alec and Magnus. Season 1 had almost literally nothing on them but I still continued because I was hooked on the whole plot. Then as the story proceed it became more interesting. Yes I admit some fight scenes were over dramatic but the purpose I mentioned, the chemistry between Alec and Magnus, it saved everything for me and made me keep going. There wasn't a single boring moment from Magnus. I feel like he is under appreciated. Still hoping for another season.
