Trigun Stampede (2023– )
1/10
It's simple. The original Trigun had charm to it. This version does not and is really a bad look.

Vash's design.

The hand drawing artwork.

The killer music and opening.

The real western feel and tone.

The voice acting.

The supporting characters.

All of these worked in synergy that gave the original 90s trigun and original, charming, and memorable feel.

It was like a western cowboy bebop which was great. The dialogue was great. The tone was great.

Understand that the makers wanted to not make another Trigun that was too similar but this is just not working at all.

The CGI is actually fine

It's just not memorable nor has anything that makes it again, charming

It's just a big mistake.

Bullet Train (2022)

A raw unrefined version of pulp fiction on a train

Was a fun movie. Quirky and funny. Best comparison I could find for this movie. So if you've enjoyed pulp fiction you could like this one, although it's not as good.

(Sub) Characters, voice acting, and comedic timing on point just like the show.

The JJK 0 movie highlighted everything that makes the show great.

Yutas voice acting is on par with Sakuna and Nanami as it hit the nail on the head with how it went perfectly with the character.

All the characters who were in season one got to show there stuff although it was very brief.

The comedic timing was just as good as in the show. Didn't feel forced given the personality of some of the characters ie Gojo.

Geto was portrayed with a great villainous presence just like Sakuna.

Animation was really spectacular in some scenes.

Action would be a slight knock. Wanted more to be honest as it was solid most of the time. Yuta vs Geto was good though.

Have seen in theaters a few times already so great replay value.

Jujutsu Kaisen (2020– )

This should be recognized as a comedy by watchers and even Gege.

First point is that the show does have a plot. Yes it is similar to other popular shows before it but that shouldn't be a deterrent.

Having issues with how the plot was moved along is understandable. Personally had no problem following what was going on especially if you read the manga.

But the main point to me is that this should be a more comedic shonen. Gege's sense of humour makes me giddy. It should be used even more because of what the story and the characters are.

With the story not being totally unique it doesn't separate itself from other shonen of similar type.

And the characters outside of Gojo,Sakuna, and Nanami don't really leave their mark on the show.

They're fine but again it's searching for uniqueness or quirkiness with the characters. Gojo's humour, Sakuna's aura, and Nanami's persistent stoicness are great to me. Yuji does have the homour but it's applified by Gojo to me.

Gintama was great at making funny episodes but even I'm it's serious arcs they were able to get some hilarious things in there.

Not saying this show should crack jokes every minute and a half but just some more comedic scenes to help set this apart.

Read that Gege is involved with the anime so maybe they have some more great humourous bits for the culling games.
