A Clear Shot (2019)
Stupid
If you are not white you have it hard? What a stupid movie. This is not what Sacramento was like during that time.
Kongens Nei (2016)
Meanwhile back in Denmark...
This is so much better than the movie, April 9th.
Scenery is great. Dialog is great. I see the king's struggle. I feel for the people of Norway. They are the hunted. They are so small military wise, that they have no real choices to make. I am learning a lot about the Scandinavian countries.
But like in April 9th, I am left feeling that the country of Norway is as impotent as Denmark. I can see wanting to be neutral, but why not join forces with all the other neutral Scandinavian countries so that you have some kind of military?
9. april (2015)
Well, at least it was short
The topic was dumb, but the movie was well done. It was too short to let the characters develop and the whole time I was thinking why a country would have any kind of a military if it could not protect themselves from the country most likely to invade. It made Denmark look impotent. American farmers have more firepower today than Denmark had then.
But, the scenery was nice and they painted the bikes a pretty color. The town at the end reminded me of legoland.
How sad to have to fight for a country that doesn't even tell you that they surrendered.
Leave It to Beaver (1957)
I grew up in a family similar to this one
I liked the show and have the whole series. Beaver was cute in the first few seasons and the show focused on that. The show was kind of about kids, but also about how parents...parent. Ward and June came across as good parents.
In the later seasons, Beaver was not so cute and so the show focused more on Wally and his friends. It would have been cool to have the show follow Wally to college and see how well he did. A lot of my life was like this show.
Both of my parents were working professionals so they were both dressed up most of the time. My mom worked but we had a housekeeper (few days a week) so mom was around when we got home from school.
We were free range kids and nobody really knew where we were at.
