Ahsoka: Part Five: Shadow Warrior (2023)
Genuinely don't have words
Words cannot describe what I just watched. Never in my years of being a Star Wars fan would I ever expect to see anything like this in live action. This was one of the most incredible and surreal moments of any television show i've ever watched. Growing up on the prequels and then years later finding a new love for them through The Clone Wars, I never in a million years thought we would get what we just got in this episode. The sheer amount of emotions that came from watching this episode was probably one of the greatest feelings i've had watching a show in recent memory. This episode was masterfully written, beautifully shot and overall one of the best things to come out of Star Wars since the OT and the Clone Wars TV show. Dave Filoni is a mastermind and shows that he truly cares about his characters and the relationships between them and it is on full display in this episode. I actually caught myself tearing up at many points throughout it was so good. Dave Filoni all I can say is... thank you.
10/10.
The Flash: A New World, Part 2: The Blues (2023)
Not great, not terrible
This episode perfectly describes what i consider an average episode. I had a feeling after seeing the promo, Barry wouldn't be present for a large majority of the episode. With that in mind I was expecting to dislike the episode a lot more. For an episode that didn't have Barry in it, it was not as bad as it could be. We have the run of the mill Team Flash stuff which was obviously the weakest part of the episode, but the Malcom Gilmore/ Eddie Thawne stuff was pretty interesting and made the episode worth while for me. 9x11 was definitely a notable step down from the last 2 but it definitely does not make it anywhere near 9x6-9x8 levels of bad in my personal opinion. We see a bit more of Khiones powers, which I would be more interested if this was explored in an earlier season. Its just very hard for me to like her character when Caitlin is not present in the final season of the show. The episode had its run of the mill bad stuff but it had some cool moments that make this episode quote on quote "mid." The ending however was easily the most interesting part and actually bumped this episode a little for me. Knowing that we are actually seeing Eddie from season 1 makes the potential of Cobalt Blue a lot more promising. Any villain that truly has a personal connection with Barry tends to be a lot more appealing as a villain. Overall this episode was average at its finest and I have a feeling might be the worst episode of this arc.
7.5/10 rating for me.
The Flash: A New World, Part 1: Reunions (2023)
Holy crap, they actually freaking did it!!!
If you told me going into this season and especially after watching the first handful of episodes that we would get anything remotely as good as this episode I would have doubted you. However after last weeks fantastic episode I had some hope this episode was going to be decent... and I was wrong. This episode wasn't decent, but was truly one of the shows best. This episode just had so many callbacks to season 1. The emotion was great, the acting, and some really nice easter eggs which I absolutely loved. Let me just say that Grant absolutely nailed his performance in this episode. I mean he usually does but this was a brilliant acting performance from him. Barry sees Eobard again and as always the tension and banter is at an all time high between them. The scenes with Matt Letscher and Grant were awesome and made me wish they used him more in the show. I'm gonna skip ahead a little to the end which was easily the best part of the episode and one of the best moments in the entirety of the show. The fact they actually had a full circle moment tying back into season 1 was truly incredible. I audibly screamed when i saw that scene it was a culmination of everything from the past 9 years and felt good as a fan to see it all come together. Brilliantly done from Eric Wallace I must say. Overall another brilliant episode from this show and for the first time in a long time am hopeful for the future episodes.
My rating: 10/10.

The Flash: It's My Party and I'll Die If I Want To (2023)
WOW! Now this is an episode worthy of a final season!
I haven't been writing reviews for this season as the last few episodes have been inexcusably bad for a final season, however this episode makes up for it. I cannot tell you the sheer amount of happiness I had watching this episode. Seeing Oliver Queen back for one last time had me tearing up not to mention the dynamic Barry and Oliver had this episode was brilliantly done. In addition, it was awesome to see Keynone Lonsdale perform again as Wally West. Some great acting and some emotional pull he had in this episode. This in my opinion in one of the best episodes the show has had in probably 3 seasons and might even make my top 20. It sucks because if this season had this level of writing in the other episodes that this one did, it would probably go down as a top 3 or 4 season. Needless to say if the last 4 episodes can deliver it would end on an extremely high note. Overall, this was a fantastic episode and couldn't be happier after watching it!
10/10 from me.
The Flash: Hear No Evil (2023)
This was disappointing to say the least
After last weeks premiere which I thought was amazing, this week was a total letdown and that's being generous. I genuinely cannot believe you can go from the quality that was the first episode this season to this one. We first are introduced to this new character played by Danielle Panabaker. She was called Snow in the beginning and was then named Khione. What happened to Caitlin you might ask? Oh she's dead apparently. Oh so I assume Barry and the rest of the team are in anguish and truly upset over it right? Wrong! How can anyone with a functioning brain write off a character who's been with the show for almost 10 years and have the rest of the team have little to no reaction to her dying. Hell Frost had an entire episode dedicated to her funeral, granted it was terrible, at least she got an episode for her death! I have no idea how Eric Wallace sleeps at night knowing he's completely butchered half the characters on this once fantastic show. I really want to sit down and watch this show but I cannot ignore how badly written this episode is. One positive is we get to see more Red Death who seems like a promising villain, but who knows af this point. All in all this was not a good episode AT all and i'm begging it doesn't get worse from here.
Rating 5.5/10 but i'll be nice and round it to a 6.
The Flash: Wednesday Ever After (2023)
A great and promising start to the final season!
I'm going to start of by saying how much i've missed watching this show these past few months. With that in mind I wasn't sure what to expect from this season but I was pleasantly surprised! This episode had a ton of Barry and Iris moments which I feel lacked the past 2 seasons. Grant Gustin and Candice Patton's chemistry really shined this episode. There were a lot of well written and well acted scenes between them and was actually invested in their relationship again. As for the plot I actually enjoyed the groundhog day time loop as it's a least something different and actually interesting. I thought the new Captain Boomerang was pretty cool and feels like he can be an actual threat. Skipping ahead to the end which had not 1 but 2 cliffhangers! So we see Danielle Panabaker show up... who's not Caitlin, and not Frost either. Who is she?! As for the very end we see Captain Boomerang in what looks like an abandoned workshop. We suspected he was working with someone but who exactly? Well that would be Red Death who was teased at the end of the episode. First of all, the voice sounds actually menacing and the effects for Red Death was really good. We didn't see the suit yet but still, so far Red Death has potential to be a good villain provided it's written well. Overall I thought this was a great episode that tied into what makes this show good in the first place, and I can't wait for next week!
Rating: 8.5/10.
The Flash: Negative, Part Two (2022)
I'm not gonna lie... kinda disappointed
Look I have really enjoyed this season overall. Sure it's had its bad moments and even episodes but it's a vast improvement over season 7. Last episode I thought was fantastic, especially with that cliffhanger. With that in mind I was expecting this finale to be even crazier than that, but it disappointed me. To start, we have Thawne telling Barry his plan and why he's alive and back in the flesh, with Barry going full sith lord on Thawne, which was actually a very cool and well acted scene. Skipping forward quite a bit we saw Thawne get an "upgrade" having an entirely new suit (which looked amazing), and now having the power of all of the negative forces. That running fight scene between Barry and Thawne although short was awesome! Now on to the "negatives" of this episode. Haha get it... negative, and that's the name of the episode. Okay i'm sorry. Anyways, let's start with Cecile once again because I cannot bring myself to enjoy any scenes with her anymore. Her character has been driven so far down to the trenches that she should be written out completely, and I don't say that lightly. YOU DO NOT NEED SOMEONE TO SAY HOW SOMEONE IS FEELING FFS! You have talented actors such as Grant Gustin and Candice Patton who are good enough to portray emotions without us being told what they are. I'm sure Eric Wallace had no idea where to go with Cecile's character so he decided to make her powers convenient enough so she can be present in every scene by telling the audience people's feelings so she's "useful." That right there is my biggest issue with this episode and unfortunately it brought it down quite a lot. My other problem I had with this episode was the outcome. Yes Thawne did die, but for once can we just give Barry the satisfaction of killing him himself! Like Thawne murdered his mother, tormented his life and had his wife killed, (who did come back of course) but still his intent was there. Now I will say the one really good thing that came out of this finale is the ending, where they teased Cobalt Blue! Finally! I have been waiting for years for them to do Cobalt Blue as the villain and it looks like season 9 may be the case. Overall this episode just felt like it could have been so much better if executed properly. I really wanted to give this a 10/10 but I'd be lying so this episodes getting a 7.5/10 for me.
The Flash: Negative, Part One (2022)
WTF WAS THAT ENDING!!!
Words cannot describe what I just watched in this episode, holy crap. To start i'll go into the one negative this episode... Cecile (no surprise there). No disrespect to the actress at all but her character has been on a very steady decline the past 4 seasons with this season making her my least favorite in the show. She's just not needed at all. Okay now that my one complaint for what was otherwise a fantastic episode and one of my personal favorites the last 3 seasons let me continue on. In this episode we see the return of Bashir, Alexa and Deon aka the forces. Despite how atrocious that storyline was last season I felt they were actually not a complete cringe fest and tolerable this episode. To continue on we have Meena Dhawan's new suit, which looks amazing (aside from the cowl). I'm gonna skip ahead a little to the end of the episode, which was by far the best part. First we have Barry kicking ass like always this season with an amazing running scene and fight scene. Now to the part that had my literal jaw on the floor. ARE YOU TELLING ME THEY HAD TOM CAVANAGH RIP METT LETSCHERS FACE OFF JUST LIKE IN THE COMICS?! WTF!? That scene was gruesome, dark and actually amazing to see in live action and genuinely could not believe they went that route. Overall, the ending of this episode completely redeemed any negatives I had and then some. Cannot wait for the finale next week!
9.5//10.
The Flash: The Man in the Yellow Tie (2022)
Easily the best episode this season
Omg, where do I even begin with this review. This episode just had so much going on, with numerous cameos, and pretty awesome ones at that. This episode had the return of Matt Letscher as Eobard Thawne, only... he doesn't remember he's the Reverse Flash. A very interesting twist I must say. Next we have the actual story for the episode, and it definitely didn't disappoint! Any time the Reverse Flash/Eobard is involved the story becomes interesting to me every time. Aside from the story this episode, this fight had an awesome fight sequence, one of many this season! Overall this episode surpassed anything I expected and am really looking forward to next week!
10/10 for me.
The Flash: The Curious Case of Bartholomew Allen (2022)
Didn't expect to like this one as much as I did. Glad I was wrong
I'm not gonna lie, after last week's "interlude" episode being as good as it was I didn't think they would have another supposed interlude episode be on par with that, but I was so wrong. This episode in my opinion was arguably even better than last weeks episode. This episode had some emotional moments, some cool action sequences and dare I say it actually felt like a season 1 episode. I know Barry losing his speed isn't a new thing, it's happened many times before. However I thought this was a really interesting take on it, which I actually enjoyed. But my favorite part of the episode was definitely the ending. WOW! I was not expecting that at all. Overall this was another great episode in my eyes. 9/10 for me.
The Flash: Into the Still Force (2022)
Another great episode this season
Despite this episode being considered a "filler" episode It felt so much more than that. To start, it was of great to see Nora again as I really like her character since she was reintroduced after season 5. Throughout this episode there were so many callbacks and name drops it was almost hard to keep track of them all! Now to the actual name of the episode "Into the Still Force." I thought the way portrayed the Still Force was very well done, by showing time as constantly shifting and changing. And are we gonna talk about Deon? I feel very strongly that is not the Deon we remember and might potentially be the Negative Still Force as described in Armageddon. This was one of my favorite episodes this season and a solid episode overall for me. Giving this an 8.6/10 but rounding up to 9.
The Flash: Funeral for a Friend (2022)
Not an action packed episode but definitely not a bad one
This weeks episode was focusing on Team Flash dealing with the death of Frost in various ways, which was cool to see how each person grieves in different ways. I do have to say the highlight of this episode was the last 20 minutes. They really dug into the emotional aspect of losing Frost by focusing on Caitlin and that was really well done.
Because I know i'm not the only one, my one major complaint is the opening scene with Team Flash dealing with a meta. I mean no disrespect to the actress but Cecile's character is so pointless with her powers and personally believes she should either be in the show without her powers or not be in the show as a main cast member. Now that my major complaint is done, I would say overall this was a slower paced episode but necessary one. Definitely could have been better but it was not bad by any means.
8/10 for me.
The Flash: Death Falls (2022)
Was expecting this but it still hit hard
I knew going into this episode a main cast member was going to die, and I had my suspicions that Frost would be the one to die. That being said that ending still got me emotional even though I knew it was coming. As for the rest of the episode I thought having each member simultaneously see a ghost of someone they lost was actually pretty intense, with some pretty great acting performances. Overall this was an extremely emotional episode and a good conclusion to this arc.
9/10 for me.
The Flash: Death Rises (2022)
Wow! This was probably the best episode we've gotten in 3 seasons! (Aside from Last Temptation of Barry Allen)
Holy crap. This episode was absolutely insane. The beginning started off extremely strong with some action and a bigger look at Deathstorm. The middle of the episode was slower but all things considered there was little to no cringey dialogue. I know... crazy. This episode proved that this show can be amazing with some decent writing, a cool villain and less cringy dialogue. Well done CW! 10/10 from me.
The Flash: Resurrection (2022)
The best episode this season after Armageddon!
This episode definitely continues to prove the Flash can be a good show if they go back to its roots and have a cool villain. To go into the episode, overall, I really enjoyed the flashbacks and of course, seeing Robbie Amell return to the show! To end it off, that was probably one of the best villain reveals we have had since season 3. Super hyped for the next episode!!
The Flash: Reckless (2022)
A better episode than last week
I didn't hate last weeks episode, however I do think this one surpasses it. To start, I was very surprised to see Caitlin's mother in this episode. With that, I actually really enjoyed the dynamic between, Frost, Caitlin and Caitlin's mother, as I feel there is some room for character development. To continue, Iris's time sickness becomes even more weird and I honestly don't know what to expect with it next. Regarding the villain, we don't really get much else on it apart from the very end, which I won't spoil, but is pretty crazy! Overall I think this episode was super solid and definitely leaves room for a crazy next episode.
8.5/10.
The Flash: Phantoms (2022)
Another good episode for the Flash!
I gotta admit, I wasn't sure what to expect this episode, but I was not disappointed. Let me just start off by saying this is easily one of Chester's best episodes of the entire show in my opinion. Brandon McKnight (aka the actor who plays Chester) had a very good performance, making it one of his best acting performances yet! Now for the rest of the episode, I know this is just the first episode of the graphic novel, so it wasn't as action packed as one would hope, but had a good introduction to the villain. Overall, I have high hopes for the next coming episodes!
9/10.
The Flash: Impulsive Excessive Disorder (2022)
Decent episode to kick off the rest of season 8
It was nice to have the Flash show back after 3 1/2 months, and it was a decent episode to come back to. Despite not having the Flash in it, I did enjoy seeing some returning characters, especially Eddie Thawne! I feel the main downside to this episode was it felt a little childish and cringey at times. I did love the relationship and interaction between Nora and Bart, and seeing Nora being the mentor now is some great character growth. In terms of action it was fairly lack luster as the main highlight of the episode was Nora throwing away the bombs, which did look very cool btw. Overall this episode definitely had some dialogue flaws but was a good start to whats hopefully a good rest of the season!
The Flash: Armageddon, Part 3 (2021)
How is this only an 8.1?!
There is no reason this episode is rated as low as an 8.1. There were less eventful episodes in season 1 and 2 that got rated way higher. Yes the beginning was on the slow side, but the last 10 minutes alone should have made this episode no less than an 8.6. It's a shame people hate on this show simply because it's a trend. That being said I'm going to be rating this episode and 8.7-8.8. The acting I thought was great, especially from Grant and Danielle Nicolet. The fight between Flash and Black Lightning was awesome, and that ending could not have been a bigger cliffhanger.
