There's Something in the Barn (2023)

Really funny movie

Surprisingly sweet and funny film with a high drive.

Extra points for the good idea where an American family inherits a house out in the Norwegian wilderness where the barn is "possessed" by "nisser" or elfs.

A slightly crazy story, but if you want to be entertained with action and blood, then it holds up very well with a lot of humor.

Certainly not a great film, but quite entertaining and very nice surprising scenes.

A bit heavy start for the first half hour, but after that it is turned up.

Definitely a movie that I would like to watch with my grandchildren in a few years when they are ready.

Kagefabrikken (2022)

Funny and learning

"Kagefabrikken" or "the cake dynasty" handle the middle-aged cake manufacturer Niels who is on the verge of collapse, as his factory is on the verge of bankruptcy.

Therefore, his wife Else tries to save the factory by calling home her daughter June and her husband Jonny, who propose a comprehensive modernization that focuses on the production of healthy cakes. Niels cannot oversee this modernization process and instead falls head over heels in love with the factory's new cleaning lady, Zeinab.

You'll see a lot of good danish actors and the lovely swedish actor Behar Pars, known from "A man called Ove".

Very funny and learning movie - i really like it.

The Marco Effect (2021)

The right man on the bridge

I like Nikolaj Lie Kaas a lot and he is really good in many roles. But he was miscast as Carl Mørk.

Ulrik Thomsen is a much better cast when I think back to the pictures I have formed when I have read Jussi's books.

As I remember the book, it was also somewhat loose in the background of the story.

I do not understand the low rating that The Marco Effect gets and give it 7 stars.

Up and Away (2018)

Good

I have not yet seen the original from 1985, but I really liked this remake, which, contrary to the original, is animated. Of course not Pixar, but okay. Not the big movie, but good entertainment. And with the original music with Sebastian. Great.
