Animal cruelty ??

There is a scene that shows John Wayne shooting a buffalo dead that shows realism that made me feel it was actually killed. I know PETA didn't exist in the 1950s but I have searched everywhere to find out if an animal was harmed in the making of the film. The way that buffalo dropped to his knees after being shot by John Wayne shocked me unless that was a stunt animal or some kind of editing trick. I also know that early western films horses were injured when a scene was called for to have a horse fall to the ground and a trip wire was used for the scene. There are B westerns where a horse would have to jump or fall off a clip.

Medical Care

Since Rick got shot in this episode, where was his medical care at the end of the episode similar to Michonne was getting. His gunshot was to his lower stomach, it looked as though he should have bled to death.

Great Film

Pretty decent Grade-B movie that is hard to find. I saw this on late night television in new york in the 1990s and surprised to find out that I recorded it on my VCR. I enjoyed this movie more than 12 angry men and it was a delight to see a young Ricardo Montalban. Finding this movie could be almost next to impossible to find and one could only hope it shows up on Netflix because they do have quite a few of Grade-B movies. You won't find this movie on Turner Classic Movies because it doesn't classify as being a classic movie, but Ted Turner or someone else should start a cable channel showing Grade-B movies that star many actors and actresses early in their careers.

Dealers in Death: Murder and Mayhem in America (1984)

nothing new

I have Dealers in Death on VHS which is about depression era gangsters.We have all seen stories throughout the years about those gangsters so the only new thing on the tape is newsreel footage that appears to be new, and footage of page one headlines from various newspapers from different cities.Nothing new here, all footage is in black and white. It would have been nice if there were closed captioning or subtitles for the hearing and hearing impaired. Broderick Crawford does the commentary and I don't know how old he was when he did this, but there were times when he slurred his words and didn't pronounced clearly and could not make out what he was saying.
