Garnet's Gold (2014)
Garnet's Folly more like
Nice camera work is the only thing that stops this being a 1/10.
Contrived drama, contrived quirkiness, contrived editing (complete with fake "moody" thunder sound effects), all add up to a disappointing time. There's absolutely no gold at the end of this documentary for Garnet or the viewer.
Collateral (2018)
Not worth your time. Better options elsewhere.
Not gripping. Full of factual and procedural inaccuracies. Look elsewhere.
The Lost Boys (1987)
Doesn't hold up
I thought I used to like this film, perhaps I did. Tried watching it again and it really doesn't hold up for me as a good film, let alone a 10/10 classic.
Ultimate Force: Dead Is Forever (2003)
Bad bad bad.
Laughable. Must be good for some people but who, I don't know. Realistic and/or exciting it's not. Michael 'Mick Mo' Moriarty, played by Dorian Healey, has possibly the worst South African (or Soot Effricaan as he would say it) accent I have ever heard. They have a token female who seems to spend all of her time running around with a clip board and ordering transport. Why did 'Henno' kill the officer and no one cared? Odd.
Best quote: After killing the officer and putting him in a chest freezer. Woman - "Who is that?" 1st SAS Trooper - "He's our officer" 2nd SAS Trooper - "He's very cool under fire!"
I thought I'd split a rib but then realised I had actually tried to remove my heart with the remote control.
