Where the Crawdads Sing (2022)
Doesn't have the same impact as the book
I was so happy to know Daisy got this role, because I adore her. Unfortunately she disappointed me here. She wasn't bad, but she didn't do justice to Kya. Of course she seems amazing compared to her two love interests, because they were just so boring and bland. No chemistry with either of them which takes a lot out of the story.
How I Met Your Father: Dirrty Thirty (2022)
It's just not funny
The biggest complaint I have is about humor. Four episodes in and I didn't like a single joke. They try to make funny situations but it doesn't really work. Characters are not that bad, bit I have this feeling that they gave them really vague personality and just adjust to where plot goes, but there's no consistency. Sophie is likable, but not enough to carry the show. I feel like there's potential and I really want to have such show, but I wish it did better job. Right now it's below average for me.
The Witcher: Family (2021)
Witcher who?
I really wish there was more Geralt and less everything else. Whole witchers' stuff are incredibly underdeveloped. It's Ciri's world and everyone's just living there which is a shame. I like her but not to extant creators think audience would be invested in her storyline. Elves storyline was ok. Mage's council is just boring to me - yes, I get it, they are involved in politics so we've been told for 2 seasons, I still do not care about them. Yen's arc wasn't great but I do have a week spot for her so I still enjoyed her presence. Tris is still boring, like please forget about the whole love triangle, she has more chemistry with Yen then with Geralt so maybe writers better explore there. As for writing itself some dialogues were just so bad that I was actually surprised by it. I was afraid plot was going nowhere, but it actually got places so I was satisfied by ending. Visuals and soundtrack is by far the best thing about the show. Cast is doing pretty well to be fair, I still love Hanry, Freya and Anya.
Overall I did enjoy the show despite being sometimes bored and sometimes annoyed. I really think this show can be so much better than it is, like the line where it becomes great is so close, but they just can't reach it for some reason.
Kastanjemanden: Episode #1.6 (2021)
Not mind blowing, but worth a try
I was curious about how everything turns out, the wrap up was quite good. But to be honest I didn't get attached to anyone in the show, only cared for children, because grown ups were slightly irritating. Liked the climate and location, some serious topics got brought up, element of surprise present as well. It's not as captivating as I hoped it would be, but definitely decent.
Love Hard (2021)
So cute
Honestly loved it, I know it's not the masterpiece, but watching it made me reaally happy and that matters the most in the end. There were barely any cheap jokes and no toilet kind humor which I can't stand. Very glad I watched it!
Maid: Dollar Store (2021)
When she leaves
So many people say they you should see red flags and leave BEFORE he hits you or the child, but this show shows how little support and understanding from your closest surrounding you get if you do leave with the first signs. Show tackles emotional abuse, things like how hard it is to leave when love is still in the picture, but treatment is bit what you deserve... And how having a child puts a woman in a such a vulnerable position in the relationship. Loved it from the first episode, still in the middle wondering how her story continues.
You: What Is Love? (2021)
Disapointed but loved it anyway
This season was as good as I hoped, maybe even better. You remains to be one of my favourite shows, super excited for the next season. Even though I feel it's such a shame we had to say goodbye to Love, I absoulutely fell in love with an actress and the character. Compared to her both of Joe's obsessions in the season seemed really bland. Especialy Natalie, couldn't stand her and didn't care for her death (unlike Delilah in season 2 or even Beck in season 1). As for Mariane loved the actress, but also didn't quite care for the character. Really hope she's not gonna have major role in season 4. I guess my favourite part of the season was Joe and Love's team, them working together on their crimes and mariage. So I am quite disapointed about the ending, really hoped they are gonna work with murderous family now. But in general the story was good and intresting, got wrapped up well. I am very curious about where they are gonna take the show now, my expactaitions are very high after this season. Also had a guess that next season would be situated in Europe so exited about that as well. Can't wait to see what awaits for Joe in Paris!
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Incredible
I adore a story about suffering genius! And this time it's a beautiful woman for a change (fell in love with Anya's look in this one). This TV siries captures you from the start till the very end, such a great inspiration.
Unbelievable (2019)
Better than you can even imagine
The story is heartbreaking, but in such a powerful way. What stands out the most for me is the way women are potrayed, so real in their weakness as well as in strenght. Absolute masterpiece!
