Tender Moment (1968)
9/10
A DVD of this film ( with Japanese subtitles) has just been issued in Japan by HMV Japan.
4 September 2012
I have bought six copies ( I liked this film so much) and the quality is excellent. Correction to the two previous reviews....Natalie Delon's character is the racing driver's 25 year old girl friend not his wife! Secondly Renaud Verley has had a good career look him up and see how he looks today. he deserved to succeed.he film has been slightly censored for japan, and Robert Hossein seems to have had his teeth done! What a great actor he became, after this and Angelique! Nathalie Delon has never looked better and her acting is just what the role demanded. her autobiography , very honest came out a couple of years ago, and prove her to be very independent. (Is that a mark of a good french actress? viz Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve. Incidentally Verley was born 9th November 1945 and Nathalie Delon,1st August 1941 she is playing 25 and he 18- 7 years difference, not four, so he was a young looking 23 year old! This film needs to be discovered by a new generation, who might appreciate how morals have changed, and the pang of a great love affair. the ending surprises, i think.

Lip Service (2010–2012)
9/10
Deserves a wider audience, insightful and compelling...
13 May 2012
Just seen my first episode, and as a mere man, I thought it was great! Superb acting, great music, it was moody, gritty, filmed in a fly on the wall "cinema verite'" way. It deserves a much greater audience; the scenes of a sexual nature are filmed with tact and discretion that shows the passion without too much gynecological detail (quite a challenge!). I can't wait to see more episodes of this thoughtful, insightful, appealing series. There have been so many references to male gay friendship, yet until "The L Word" and now "Lip Service it has been undercover. Lip service is an intelligent, and well thought out drama series that deserves a award, and better publicity.

The Muppet Show: Rita Moreno (1976)
Season 1, Episode 5
10/10
Rita Moreno singing "Fever" on the Muppet Show
30 December 2006
One of the funniest guest episodes. Rita Moreno looking very sexy in a red strapless dress, starts singing "Fever" Peggy Lee's great hit seriously, when Animal's drumwork in the background gets a bit loud! (Buddy Rich, I believe played the drums!). Halfway through she stops and goes up to him and in half English and Spanish tells him to calm it and cool it or she will......

The scene continues but Animal gets really carried away by the Fever, drowning out Rita's voice! She walks round behind him , picks up the cymbols and squashes his head between them. As he falls unconscious he mutters, "MY kind a woman" in an appreciative tone!
