Amazing series

I was intrigued by the storyline and only from the cover art and every thing I already had a good feeling about this series. I was surprised when I started watching this that it was a Belgian production. The quality was really really good. Interesting plot, good acting and nice sets.

Every episode you gain more information regarding the mystery of Romy and how it is all put together and what every persona's role is in the story. The ending left me speechless and I secretly hope that there will be a next season! I highly recommend this series if you enjoy mystery plots that will blow your mind and make you wanna watch it all in one go.

1899 (2022)

Mysterious and questionable.

Started watching this series yesterday and finished it within two days. It left me curious, wanting to dig more and more into it. There were a lot of points in the series where I found myself confused, certain questions were answered but then more questions came in return. The story did turn out way different than I expected it to be.

Sadly I heard only today that the show won't be renewed, so we are left with a huge open ending. I would have loved to see more of this series, as the acting, sets and effects were great. The plot has a huge potential and I think a second season would have given a good explanation and made way more sense. On the other hand I also like the fact that now we are free to interpret the information given to us.

I totally recommend it if you like mysterious things and like to fill in the blanks on your own.

For people not sure to watch this because it is labeled as horror: I didn't find this scary at all. There is no gore, only blood at times. The horror aspect is more for the suspense and tension there is around the scenes.

Alice in Borderland (2020– )

Interesting and intriguing, but could have been worked out better.

I have started this after the hype started around Squid game. It was on my watching list for a longer time, but i never came to watch it.

The beginning of the series caught my attention. It has a great and interesting story line, which wants you to know more about the story. In my personal experience, I had a hard time getting attached to the characters or understand them. At some stages in the series, the development of the characters were too fast. On the other hand, some scenes and episodes were extremely slow. I think if there would have been a balance here, the series would have come off better.

Overall I think it is a great series. The games in which they participate are interesting enough, but may also seem obvious while the characters obviously play dumb. I'm curious about the second season, since some questions are still unanswered. I'd recommend you to watch this if you are in for a mystery! If you are doubting to watch because of the gore, in my opinion it wasn't that bad. There are no jumpscares and you will know when something is gonna happen!
