By not focusing on "their" Tristesse but merely on "our" phlegmatism, it is one of the most moving films; mainly out of my own comfort zone;
I could see about this topic so far.
And by admiting our flaws, letting "our"selfes get humanized by the minute, it gets tough to keep up any critical, dehumanizing attitude towards "refugee" human beings.
It might seem like liberal wishful thinking at first, but this movie makes all of this scarily accessible.
