Game changing climax
20 August 2021
Setup in Kolkata,, kahaani was a story of Vidya bagchi (Vidya balan) a 7 months pregnant women who is here to find out his missing husband .

Story revolves around how she tackles in his path with the help of sub inspector satyoki(parambrata chaterjee). Story keeps you engage throughout first half.

And then comes the second half, story gone more confusing, Engaging and mind juggling and then their is a CLIMAX.

A big secret reveals which no one expected. . .

Director Sujoy Ghosh who previously directed the disastrous Aladdin, return with a bang that no one expected. His direction and the way of story telling is nothing short of perfection.

. Music of the movie supports the narration, ekla chalo re rendered by Amitabh bacchan gives you goosebumps.

Background score keep you thrilled Cinematography, dialogue, are perfect.

. Talking about performances Nawazuddin siddiqui as officer khan, parambrata chaterjee as satyoki perfectly potrays their roles.

Special mention to saswata chaterjee as Bob biswas, scary as hell. Performance of lifetime.

. And Vidya balan, she is tremendous as Vidya bagchi, her body language, her dialogue delivery, her looks, her stare just on point.

She's the hero of the movie.

. One of the best suspense thriller of Indian cinema.

. Overall A must must must watch Masterpiece.

Promising start but messy second half
19 August 2021
Adapting Charles Dickens novel great expectations with Kashmir backdrop, the film has an expectation from everyone, as it did well in first half. But it was the second which is an utter mess. Anything happens anywhere, and what was the use of Ajay devgan cameo, it's useless.

Talking about the positives, the cinemtography is brilliant, it brought Kashmir to life on screen.

Music by Amit trivedi is mind-blowing. He's a genius . Every song is masterfully crafted. Hats off.

Acting Katrina as firdaus tries hard but does not stand out.

Aditya Roy Kapoor as noor acted well, and proved that he need good script to prove his acting mettle.

Lara Dutta in her small role is so good Aditi Rao Haideri cameo as young begum is superb.

And Tabu as begum is so haunting and brilliant.

She nailed the role of begum. Her dialogue delivery, her accent, her stare everything is out of the world.

She stand out in every frame she's in.

. Abhishek Kapoor's direction is fine but only in first half, he's seems losing his grip in second half.

. .

. Overall the film is one time watch.

You, me and two cup tea
19 August 2021
I don't know how to start with, as the canvas of the film is so large, so simply wind up in a word- perfect .

. .

.Ayan mukheejee come out with a fresh coming of age story to life in form of Siddharth Aka Sid mehra and Ayesha Banerjee Two young souls with pole apart nature.

How their relationship grows, is a beautiful watch.

Ranbir Kapoor as Sid is so delightful and sweet to watch. He potrays young spoilt brat to perfection and how he evolve to a mature man, is excellent.

Konkana Sen Sharma as Ayesha Banerjee is the soul of the movie. She's a independent career oriented girl. The way she potrays Ayesha is perfect . Her looks, her dialogue delivery, her emotions are brilliant.

Anupam kher and Supriya pathak are effectively convincing as parents of sid.

Shikha, namit das, kashmeera shah, Rahul khanna are good at their place.

. Music by legendary trio Shankar ehsaan Loy is fresh breath of Air. But one song that stand out is composed by Amit trivedi, written by Javed akhtar and sung by Kavita Seth and that is ....... IKTARA. The song is a masterpiece and brilliantly shot.

. . Ayan mukheejee direction is fantastic. He proved his mettle from his first movie.

. .

Overall- A definitely worth watching.

A Timeless Classic
3 August 2021
Undeniably, one of the best movie of this generation, Imtiaz Ali proved his verstality once again.

Every thing was on point, it's cinemtography, sound design, dialogues, location, acting, music.

Everything seems perfect.

. Talking about Acting- Randeep hooda is brilliant choice as mahabir. He brings the arrogant yet sweet truck driver to the life.

Surely his finest performance till date.

. And Alia bhatt- after seeing (soty), not just me but one could never imagine that she could potray the young bubbly yet troubled Veera tripathi. She is tremendous, brilliant and vulnerable as Veera. She delivers her career best performance.

. Supporting cast was also perfect at its place.

. .

Music and lyrics by Ar Rahman, irshad Kamil is pure gold.

Pattaka guddi, heera, sooha saaha, are just amazing

.

According to me it's Imtiaz Ali best film by far.

. .

My only regret is I haven't witnessed this movie In theatres.

A visually appealing MASTERPIECE
29 July 2021
It's not just a film, it's a poem, a ballad, a painting on canvas.

Vikramaditya M. Back with a bang, adapting William o Henry's classic 'the last leaf' into a purely Indian way.

Story 10/10 Screenplay 9/10 Cinematography beyond words 200/10 Music as pure as honey, Amit trivedi's best work 1000/10 Acting Brilliant , surprised to see Sonakshi Sinha's brilliant performance.

Ranveer as usual amazing Supporting cast is also wonderful especially Vikrant Massey.

. .

Overall- must watch.
