I really liked On My Block, its a fun teen show, the cast was pretty nice, it had a good plot, the characters were mostly enjoyable and the comedy was good. So i went to watch this mess with some expectations, but oh my, this is beyond awful. The characters are annoying and uninteresting, there's nothing to be curious about or even pay attention to in the story. In the original show Freeridge was shown as a dangerous neighborhood but they knew how to balance the teenager lives with the gang related stuff. Here it just feels like a boring ass place where nothing happens. Also its very cringe when they try to force some romance between characters because it feels forced, unlike On My Block. I don't recommend this crap to anybody.

Before i watched this movie i checked out "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch", and i loved both. One of the things that made me like those movies so much is how unpredictable they were. For example, you never knew what character could die on a scene or how he could die, and there were lots of surprises because of that. Plus, even tho some characters were clearly supposed to be more unlikable than others, none of these movies had a clear villain or antagonist, they just got into trouble with each other. Well, all of that is gone in "The Gentleman". First of all its not that hard to see that Matthew McConaughey's character, Michael (who i wanted to get whacked so bad) was supposed to be "the hero" and whoever was going against him was made the clear villain. So it became so predictable and formulaic compared to other Guy Ritchie movies. I knew from the start that Michael was never going to die no matter how much they tried to make it seem like that. Plus, his character was one of those characters where nothing could stop him or even put him in a bad situation, he just easily beats up his rivals and it became so, sooooo boring, when in reality, this character would easily get killed by another gangster. Also, the racial slurs especially against chinese people is so excessive and not funny at all in this movie, just felt very tasteless. The only good thing i really liked about the movie was the Coach and his crew, but they can't save this from being a mess and a disappointment.

Seriously, what the hell was this? This episode didnt make any sense at all, what was the point of this mess? It's not funny, there's no explanation for anything that happens during this whole episode (and no, that bench scene didnt explain anything, at all), the characters are weird for the sake of being weird (which seems to be a recurring theme on season 3) and most importantly why did they ruin Van? How do you turn the most balanced character in the show into a lunatic out of nowhere? When did she even start acting like that? Who the f are those people she's around? What is this new life and why? Just why? Nothing makes sense during this episode.
Remember when Atlanta was a very experimental yet funny and entertaining show, and even the most bizarre incidents didn't take it too away from reality? Apparently those days are gone and instead we just get episodes with random and weird plots that don't seem to lead to anything. I don't want to see Van beating somebody up with a baguette or frying literal hands, i want to see the characters we became so attached to during the first two seasons be entertaining and a lot of times relatable.

As a fan of hood movies, this definetly grabbed my attention, so i went my way to check it out, but honestly it wasnt that much for me. I didnt feel any type of interest on the characters who, other than Curtis, dont have any personality at all, and the whole movie is just long, boring dialogue and shootouts at night time where you cant even see whats going on. Curtis and his gang literally rob other drug dealers easily with no secret which is so unrealistic and cheap. Plus the ending makes no sense at all, why would someone literally want to give somebody a tape full of their own crimes recorded? If thats not self snitching i dont know what that is. I would recommend to check out Gang Tapes instead, a much better movie and it inspired this one at first place.
