To me it is just another "American" movie, good only for the teenagers who are the majority of US movie watchers. There are some good things: 1. Denzel Washington is as good as ever 2. His girlfriend is wonderful 3. the idea of concentrating all the story in just one day is fresh But on the other hand the plot lacks of realism, the psychology of characters is neglected, the Ethan Hawke is not at his best.

Luciana is funny as ever. You laugh during the movie, but at the end you leave the theater with the feeling of having wasted your money. And you start to miss the Vanzinas....
The movie lacks a credible plot. Besides the satire on the show business is out of focus. Most of the actors do a good job; in a sense we can say that they save the movie.

Great movie, notwithstanding the official critics

Despite being highly criticised by movie critics at Venice Festival, it's a great movie. True and touching. Sandra Ceccarelli is only wonderful, as Silvio Orlando in a minor role.
