RuPaul's Drag Race: Girl Groups (2024)
All eliminations have been fair IMHO
I'm mainly rating this a 10 to balance out the inevitable hate but it had 3 good/great performances to decent songs, a strange but fun runway, and tons of great confessionals and drama. I think Dawn's personality really shone this episode and the winner was unexpected but justified and really satisfying. This season is really killing it with the storylines and bar last episodes challenge + a teensy bit of Plane overhype it's been an emotional but really well crafted and entertaining ride. I'm a little worried about the next episode because it's about now that they give a controversial win to get attention on twitter and the design challenge is an easy way to do that. But they really don't need it this time and if it runs smoothly I say this season has an almost perfect set up.
RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under: Grand Opening (2022)
Off to a great start...
Don't want to get ahead of myself but everything about the show seems to have been improved. I think the cast had pretty weak entrances overall so I was a little scared for a design challenge but despite all of the glue and corsets, the results were actually pretty cute, and there was only one look that I thought was actually bad.
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars: Lip Sync LaLaPaRuza Smackdown (2022)
I don't know why y'all are so mad
The final lipsync has never mattered. Aquaria lost hers, Lawrence lost hers, Priyanka lost hers, the winner is based on the competition and on their own story and personality. I personally think the only wrong choice in terms of lipsyncs was jinkx beating Monet (cuz Monet kinda wiped the floor icl) but she had 5 wins by the end of the season. I will say I don't understand why she didn't have something planned because I think she is self aware of her lipsyncing talents but in the end we all wanted her to win and looking at the competition it's extremely well deserved.
Inside No. 9: A Random Act of Kindness (2022)
Great idea but some small problems with execution
I actually really enjoyed the massive majority of the episode, but the future sections reminded me of what people in the early 1940s thought the year 2000 would look like. I have got to presume that Reece and Steve were trying to get some humour out of it, especially when Reece pulls out a 70s style laser gun. But I feel like those sections ruined some of the realism that the episode was going for thus far. I thought the acting in the episode was brilliant and I could've watched the chemistry between them for at least double the time. I just wish it didn't feel like they were making a parody, especially with such an emotional episode.
Drag Race España: Drags de la comedia (2022)
This may well be the best season of drag race ever
Another great episode. I am incredibly saddened by the result but that seems to happen almost every week. If that roast happened on a US season they wouldn't even have had a bottom two, that's how good it was.
Drag Race España: Supremme Eleganza Talent Extravaganza (2022)
INCREDIBLE
I can't believe how talented these queens are. I'm struggling to find the words to describe the talents and looks showcased in this episode. If someone hadn't watched drag race España yet, I would tell them to watch this episode and I guarantee they would be hooked immediately.
RuPaul's Drag Race: Menzeses (2022)
This season is going up
This season is definitely getting better since that design challenge and this episode is no exception. Fun challenge, fine judging, good lipsync. Not much to criticise, except maybe like one judging decision but
that's very minor and subjective.
RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs the World: Global Glamazons (2022)
THIS SEASON IS GONNA BE EPICCCC!
Great way to start the season, love that pangina and jimbo are getting recognition, and I love the cast so much. Of course I'm so sad to see lemon go but I can't say that it wasn't deserved, she barely moved her face and it was a bit of an Aja copy paste. I would definitely have sent Janey home but Lemon was probably a smarter choice so I can't be mad. There is so much talent here so this is going to be a wild ride.
Canada's Drag Race: Prom (2021)
Best makeover they've ever done
This episode was honestly great top to bottom Full of heartwarming moments and an amazing performance from every queen. The judging was tight because everyone looked so damn good but the decision was correct and the lipsync finished the episode on one last high.
Canada's Drag Race: The Sinner's Ball (2021)
Loved it
I do not understand why this doesn't have a higher rating, I thought it was back to episode 1/2 quality. The runway themes were actually really smart I thought and the judging was pretty perfect. Also I know they mentioned it a lot but Kimora's 2nd look deserves all the time in the world. I mean the lipsync was not great but the rest was pretty damn good.
Canada's Drag Race: Screech (2021)
Okay acting challenge but judging is off for me
I think it's actually one of the better written acting challenges despite being a little chaotic and I think some did really well, but I wouldnt have even put Adriana in the top let alone winning. I think kimora deserves some love and I thought Suki did great. Also I think putting Kendall in the bottom was a strange choice. Also the runway wasn't as strong as last week but to be fair it was hard to beat.
RuPaul's Drag Race UK: Big Drag Energy (2021)
DRAG RACE UK IS BACK
Guess what, the UK girls slayed the girl group challenge again. Super fun episode, incredibly touching workroom moments, and a great lipsync to finish it off. Let's just hope they keep this up until the end.
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars: The Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent Monologues (2021)
So close to being the perfect all stars season
We had the perfect top 4, the best in herstory. And then they basically make a redo of the top 5 episode 2 weeks ago except this time Eureka wins the challenge and tkb goes home. First of all, brinign back both her and silky makes so much more sense because there is already a top 4, putting a queen that's already been eliminated into the top 5 gives them no chance to redeem themself and gives them a way too easy way into the top 4. In the challenge, this is clearly an amazing group so everyone did fantastic, but I think Kylie was the clear winner for a lot of people as her story was inspiring, unlike eurekas, and imagine a top 4 all with 2 wins, it would just be perfect. It's obvious now that they were pushin Eureka as she's been high in so many episodes where she shouldn't have been. Then they give her a win and probably plan to crown her. It's so sad because this season has really been great but unfortunately this one episode was so disappointing. All we can do now is manifest a Kylie or rajah win. If Eureka wins I may have to smash a hole in my TV.
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars: Rudemption Lip-Sync Smackdown (2021)
OH, MY, GOD
This has to be the best episode of drag race of all time. WOW.
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars: Drag Tots (2021)
Best top 4 EVAAAA
They all turned it tf out, this might be the best design challenge in herstory. I think they could have chosen a better charli song but the lipsync was still entertaining because of a good choice of assassin. Very interested to see what happens next week.
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars: Snatch Game of Love (2021)
Good
Solid snatch game and lipsync with adequate judging plain and simple.
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars: Show Up Queen (2021)
This season is gold
Another phenomenal episode. Some great challenge performances, runways, and a surprising ending with a satisfying conclusion. Excited to see what snatch game has to offer next week.
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars: Pink Table Talk (2021)
Another 10/10 episode right here
Just like episode 3 this was a home run. A brilliant challenge where everyone did well and there was genuine heartfelt moments while having some laughs mixed in, a hilarious lip sync assassin gag, followed by another amazing lipsync that had me laughing out loud. This season is just brilliant.
