Eye Love You (2024)
Is this it?
I watched this on Netflix which showed 5 episodes, unfortunately it doesn't look like the end of the story - is this all there is? If so this is a real crappy drama with one of the worst endings ever. I'm hoping there are additional episodes but Netflix still shows just 5 and IMDB.com also shows just 5 episodes so I'm wondering. The actual story is pretty good but the execution is sub-par compared to other Asian dramas, technically it's measures up but the writing does not. The FL isn't great, she is the CEO but is very timid for a CEO so lacks credibility. Many female characters in Asian dramas are written that way, especially Japanese female characters. In the 5th episode the ML confesses to the FL and asks her if she likes him, she answers no after anguishing over liking him and not being sure if he likes her for nearly the entire drama - what? Bad ending, if 5 episodes is all there is you should skip this drama, it's not worth your time.
Nain: Ahob Beonui Shikan Yeohaeng (2013)
Worst Ending Ever
This series is about time travel and trying to 'undo' the past to make it better, of course we all know the hook in time travel entertainment is the unintended consequences and that is the case here as well. One of the early trips back undoes the love story between the FL and ML so he, of course, has to continue making trips back to undo that and other bad things that have happened in his family. Late in the series he realizes that he's only making things worse and it's time to give up.
The problem with time travel entertainment is keeping the present and the past straight in your mind and the biggest issue is the rules of time travel. Time Travel is, of course, impossible as far as we currently know so writers have the luxury of inventing the time travel process and rules for their story, all too often the writer(s) fail to be consistent and end up confusing the viewers. In this case the process is simply lighting a special incense stick, it burns for 30 minutes and when it is extinguished the traveler returns to the present. In this series it is possible for 2 versions of the same person to exist in the same place and time which is a little unsettling and later in the series there seems to be some kind of connection between the same person in the past and the present - no explanation, it just suddenly starts happening so the person in the present know's what he is doing in the past - presumably new memories are being created as he takes actions in the past so the present version of himself knows what is happening - by now it's getting a little hard to keep it all straight in your mind.
It all goes off the rails when the ML dies in the present but then miraculously is alive again in the next scene with no explanation how or why (I don't know, maybe I missed something). Several other incidents that are inexplicable like items that we know the ML has but suddenly get stolen in the past so he doesn't have it anymore. Worst of all the ML dies in the past leaving his bride at the alter! As he is dying he meets the 8-yr old version of her and tells her to remember his face and never get involved with him if she meets him in the future. Of course they do meet in the future and end up traveling to Nepal which is where the series starts when his brother dies (he's there to claim the body), while there he runs into the FL and they get married. This time he follows her to Nepal and this time he meets his brother before he dies and saves him from dying on the mountain even though at the beginning the brother died months before the ML even learns of his demise - the end. What a crappy ending!!!!
John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)
Nothing New and Too Repetitive
This is by far the worst of the 4 John Vick movies. It doesn't explain much to the viewers about what is going on and why. As in the other Vick movies the hero kills and kills, in many scenes they have so many killers coming at him and shooting that it would seem to be impossible for him not to get shot. He does wear Kevlar suits but Kevlar suits do not cover his whole body and Kevlar generally will not stop bullets from long barreled weapons such as assault rifles which are in use throughout the movie. In a 'shoot 'em up' movie like this the viewer has to suspend belief and just enjoy the action but the writer(s) and director took too many liberties, the movie isn't believable - even with suspended belief. At 2 hrs and 45 minutes, this movie is way too long, to fill that time they included long scenes of killing bad guys and it gets very repetitive and tedious. You should skip this movie, it's not worth 2 hr and 45 minutes of your life.

Doesn't work for me
This one doesn't work for me, most of the series is focused on the middle segment where she has aged after overusing time travel. I am on the cusp of 70 myself but I could not identify with the old age issues highlighted in this segment. I am from a different culture (USA) and maybe 70 isn't old enough and I'm not a female but for whatever reason I couldn't get myself deeply involved with this show. Maybe it's because I couldn't identify but I found this segment of the series to be quite boring and pointless, I couldn't see where it was going and, frankly, I didn't care - I hit the FF button a lot during this segment. The final segment is an overview of her life as opposed to being part of her delusion, this segment is fine and it does tie up a lot of loose ends but it's not intuitively clear what this final segment actually is, suddenly the middle segment ends confusingly and she is back in the 1970s with no explanation but as you watch it slowly starts to make some sense.
So, if you like shows that start somewhere is the middle or the end and use flashbacks to slowly tell the story, you may like this show. I personally do not enjoy being confused when I watch a show, I don't mind solving mysteries like a crime thriller but shows like this that purposely confuse you by not supplying context are not my cup to tea. Overall 5 of 10 for a confusing plot line, the actors are good and the production values are good so all the elements are there, it's just the plot line.
