The Simpsons: Bart's Birthday (2024)
The funniest TV episode of 2024!
What we have here isn't your average simpsons episdode. THe comedy is the strong suit and that's what I think makes the satisfying conclusion so non-typical and heartwarming. This was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life! The bart simpson moments were on the floor-laughing0and0rolling levels of hilarity, and they manage to achieve comedy in the best ways possible through the advent of the modern animation medium with the slight character's visual gags, to even the character's expressions. It all comes across a s a great way to portray characters in this hilarious, exciting episode that is sure to keep your socks off in excitement.
Futurama: The Temp (2024)
Genuinely one of the funniest things I've seen in my life.
This episode is hilarious, straight from the get-go there's a clever joke and it all goes uphill from there. Ok the wedding scene is boring but it's like 2 minutes long and after that the episode really picks up and cranks the comedic dial to 11. There's a joke about Fry's locker that was so funny, I think I peed my pants a little. Something I've noticed about this show is that they do a lot of clever visual gags so you really gotta keep your eyes peeled for those because when you find them they are so rewarding.
On the sheer quality side, the animation and voice casting is incredible and something really to look forward to, some of the shots in space are eye candy.
Despicable Me 4 (2024)
The greatest animated movie of all time!
On first glance, and with the reputation of the franchise, you might think this is just some dumb kids movie like I did. But this is actually a very smart and well written story about Gru's story coming full-circle and the "rise" to his power. Gru isn't playing around anymore, and he is the boss now.
This ending goes HARD. I'm not going to spoil it, but let's just say Gru becomes "that" guy. Everything plays into each other for the storytelling. Even the Minion's shenanigans, which are usually just quick gags in the other movies, they're now meaningful elements that provide to the story. The minions feel like actual characters now, and their antics are so funny.
The whole movie just gives me chills thinking about how cool it was. I watched this with my husband and four kids, and we all loved it. I would recommend this movie to fans of the franchise, and to fans of comedy films.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
Unbearable and Forgettable. I could've done better
Literally the moment I left the theater I tried to reconcile at least one scene but I couldn't. This is a blatant cash grab that has no business being made. Sam Raimi is, if we're all being honest, a terrible director and this is by far at his worst. Again, I cannot visualize, quote, or remember a scene from this trash.
I'm not even trolling or whatever. This is perhaps the worst movie ever made. ALL of the sets and characters are just these same ugly CGI meshes exactly like literally every other Marvel movie.
There is genuinely nothing appealing or good about this. Again, this movie is probably like 98% animated, but the animation is the exact same disgusting fantasy-real life hybrid garbage. I will not be seeing another Marvel movie in the future, theyre all the exact same yet critics and especially audiences just eat it up like candy.
Smiling Friends (2020)
Had me snoring
This is really boring, most of it anyway. I only liked two episodes, not that much though. The rest were either bad or awful. For starters the animation looks purposefully terrible. That is lazy, not artistic. The two episodes I somewhat liked were Dezmonds big day out and Who violently murdered Simon s. Salty. They werent even that funny either. Just more than the rest.
The shows humor is really lazy. Random/gross doesnt equal funny, guys. Not a single joke in any of the first eight episodes had any build up or backstory to them.
I don't know why this show is so beloved. I guess this might be good if you're like, taking a snooze or something.
Bob's Burgers: Touch of Eval(uations) (2022)
Ugh.
Not enjoyable at all really. A bit offensive too, not outrageously though which saves this from being a 1.
So it starts off with this weird opening that is slow and doesn't need to exist. Feel free to fast foward this 3 minute opening as it has nothing to do with the plot and doesn't set up any characters ambitions to do something. After this we get tied into the subplot about Linda just being a nagging wife blah blah blah same stuff we've seen the past 5 years. She is getting on my nerves the past few seasons she does not shut up. Then the main plot just happens and is skipped over in 2 minutes. I didn't feel satisfied at all and was very confused. Lastly, they bring back the subplot and tie it up with some of the stupidest, most forced Jefferson shoulder ever.
All and all, a pretty boring episode that had me snoozing through the long and uninteresting dialog and at best I wasn't half asleep. Don't recommend this one.
Bob's Burgers: FOMO You Didn't (2021)
Fell asleep watching
Boooooooring. Someone wake me up when this is over. ZzzzzzzzZzzZZzzzzZzZ.
The three things I thought. Wow this is a bad episode. The Power of 8.5 greatest thing I guess?..
How to make a rowdy Prisoner go to bed;
*Step 1: Play this episode
*Step 2: Try not to go to sleep yourself.
Solar Opposites: A Very Solar Holiday Opposites Special (2021)
This episode sucks
Don't even bother, it bored the hell out me and it isn't even cool. I don't care about anything that happens. This doesn't even bother making a plot, the joke is there is no plot and I'm not laughing. It sucks, is confusing, skip this episode for sure.
The Simpsons: A Serious Flanders: Part 2 (2021)
The best episode of The Simpsons!
Funny Bart Simpson moments had me on the list. There was silly Netflix references that I found relatable.
This is a very sad episode. I couldn't help but cry at the end due to the amazing ending. Bart Simpson didn't disappoint.
I liked Homer Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire joke, nice callback.
Burns died which is unfortunate I wish he would've gotten a last word.
Theres plenty of silly extravaganza within Marges C plot.
Patty is a cool sister, always helping a brother out.
Very good episode had funny stories. Sad and cried.
The Simpsons: A Serious Flanders (2021)
Best episode in 20 years!
I didn't like the slow beginning, totally could've removed 2-3 minutes to help develop Burn's reasoning in this episode. He dies after getting shot in the face, I don't understand why he was in it though. He had a total of like 2 seconds of screen time before dying.
This episode isn't funny. But to be fair it isn't really trying to be.
Homer gets kidnapped and held hostage. I can't take this seriously, killing off Burn's was surprising but I could understand why they did it. But of course they aren't going to kill Homer, right? I can't care about this part of the episode.
Theres plenty of good in this episode though. I liked Sideshow Mel and Ned's dialog.
All and all a good episode. Excited for next Sunday to see what happens to the plant now that Burns died, as well as seeing what Bart does with his millions!
Bob's Burgers: Mo Mommy Mo Problems (2018)
Fell asleep watching
So boring. You could remove 15 minutes of film and the already boring plot would stay the exact same. "Oh no! Are the Belchers really gonna get a new house?!?" Of course not.
This episode doesn't need to exist. It's not worth the watch and it just isn't good. Not very funny either but thats subjective.
NOTHING happens. Its just silly Linda antics and then the kids find a taxidermist for some reason. Nothing happens, nothing makes sense, and there's no reason to care about the ending.
The payoff is that the Belchers don't get the house (obviously). 22 minutes of unfunny jokes, boring and slow scenes, and trying to stay awake for nothing to change by the end. Horrible episode.
Bob's Burgers: Beach, Please (2021)
Cheeks hurt from grinning too hard
Very funny episode loved Tina she was cool. Louise and Fishy did the coolest things at the beach cleanup funny stuff. The final nail in the coffin was the Bob Belcher scenes those had me crying.
Family Guy: 80's Guy (2021)
Lol
Great to see this. Loved the caddyshack reference, had me dying on the floor! And I don't want know be relatable a for you to and able a get a past year for the you overrated player in the league and in the other two will have to a it a the rest and the only other I to make sure it. Great episode. Loving this season so far!
Bob's Burgers: Driving Big Dummy (2021)
This will DOMINATE the Emmy's, calling it now!
Fantastic episode! Very funny with all the tricks on it is that it was the best in his prime and I don't think I would be a great episode if they hadn't done this, but they did. So far so good! Loving it. Loling at this all day!
The Simpsons: The Wayz We Were (2021)
Give it an Emmy!
Hilarious episode! It follows a simple but interesting plot, simular to what you might see from this show weekly around 25 years ago. I didnt cringe at this one, all the jokes landed, and it really is just a good fun episode. Check it out on Fox tomorrow!
The Simpsons: There's Something About Marrying (2005)
Solid episode
Its okay i guess. The comedy is far from great but its ok, and there's some good tension of the story. The animation is pretty as well. Solid episode, even if I didn't like the outro gag.
Bob's Burgers: The Pumpkinening (2021)
THE best episode, of the entire show even.
This is so good. Linda's shannegains are hilarious and all, but that ending... that ending.. left me in tears. 11/10.
Family Guy: Rock Hard (2021)
Hilarious and educational!
This was too funny. I also learned interesting stories about musical artists!
Futurama: Jurassic Bark (2002)
Had me crying like a baby
The dogs death scene was too relatable, and bender is at his best here. Great stuff.
The Simpsons: Bart's in Jail! (2021)
I didn't like watching this episode.
It wasn't very entertaining to watch. I dislike this episode.
Bob's Burgers: Crystal Mess (2021)
Top 10 episode
This is absolutely hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at this, had a grin the whole 20+ minutes. Tina is at her best here and I love the Mr Frond moments. Legitimately couldn't stop laughing at every thing they said. Only thing keeping this from a 10/10 is that I watched in 240p via an illegal streaming website because I can't afford cable.
Family Guy: LASIK Instinct (2021)
One of the best episodes, don't listen to haters
This was a hilarious one, while also being interesting. I am very happy to see this season start off so strong. Cutaways are actually funny and believe it or not, they're relevant and tie into the plot, unlike most other episodes. This is fantastic, its funny, interesting, witty, I don't know how you couldn't love it. These critics might as well be saying "Its okay, but it isn't deep and emotional so I hate it". Dont listen to them and check this out, it is so good.
Bob's Burgers: Manic Pixie Crap Show (2021)
Kind of boring.
Besides some jokes I chuckled at, this was pretty dull. Mostly the B plot with Linda and her dog. I liked the stuff with the pixie show thing, this easily could've been 12-16 minutes and they cut the Linda stuff out because it really does slow down the otherwise good pacing. Above average at best.
The Simpsons: The Star of the Backstage (2021)
Terrible and insulting.
Might be the worst simpsons episode ever. Definitely top 3. For starters, this musical feels more like an average Family Guy episode with all the cringey and lazy jokes. All the music is bad, and I was practically frowning the entire 20+ minutes in disgust of how far this once great show turned into something that made the local news look like a cinematic masterpiece. I had to click off not once, not twice, not three times, not four, but FIVE times because it couldn't keep my attention for even 3 minutes. This felt like it was an hour, an hour long snoozefest that if actually made me sleepy watching it. Disgusting episode. 1.5/10.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
DO NOT WATCH! Had to leave theater!
Very boring and corny. Its only somewhat interesting for like 5-10 minutes near the end. The only thing that remotely kept my attention inbetween was the cringey moments they throw at you every few minutes. Theres this forced plot about loving your children more than your career kinda like in Kazaam. LeBrons kid is extremely unlikable, hes a lazy spoiled gamer/hacker that only cares about himself. Oh, and the main villain is one of the worst I've seen. Terrible.
