The greatest live Music DVD ever made!
8 October 2015
Truly an amazing live DVD. In my opinion, this is the best live music DVD that I have ever seen. I have watched it all maybe 50 times. The production of this is truly epic. From what i know it was the first full HD live coverage done on this scale in Europe. 32 HD cameras, which in 2005, was as rare as hen's teeth. The Battle Hymns song at the end is remarkable. 3 drummers, and three guitarists.

The director should get an award for this. The show included an amazing 50 piece orchestra and choir mounted at the side of the stage. They perform a Wagerian opera in the middle of a heavy metal concert.

Watch this! Your life will never be the same again.

Off World was a surprise
21 January 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I was surprised how good this film was. The effects quite good and the script was very original. There was some very funny scenes in the beginning in the Starship rental agency that really made me laugh out loud. The ending is worth the wait and it gives a wonderful twist, that made the viewing worthwhile. I am trying not to write any spoilers. A fun, quality Sci-Fi film and the directing was done well. I will watch this film again for sure when it comes to Blu Ray.

The effects really inspired me because it looks like they used models rather than CG or at least a combination. The space suits were good too. Music was definitely original and fitting. I think the composer really tried to think out of the box. Was a bit sad seeing a few of the interesting characters die early, but that is the nature of these films.

A wonderful Sci-Fi thriller/horror film.

This IS War of the Worlds
19 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
While some reviewers are calling this a copy of War of the Worlds, it IS in fact acknowledged to be War of the Worlds. The Japanese release of the film calls it HG Wells War of the Worlds, and it even states this in the end credits. How is the film? certainly it is low budget, but in my opinion it is more loyal to HG wells than many of the recent attempts in the early 2000's. The film follows a more modern style to retell the War of the Worlds story, and it least the Martians look just like they were described in the original novel. I enjoyed the film, and especially the small moments of humor. The tripods themselves are certainly interesting to look at as well. I hope there is a sequel... while I don't care about some of the characters, I would like to see where the story can be taken with a second film

Was surprised....
13 August 2011
I have to say, it is better than the SyFy movie of the week fare. I thought this was another film rip-off, but it seemed pretty original in concept.

The acting is quite good compared to most low budget movies. Ben Cain and Katharine McEwan impress me the most, but all are solid. Rochelle Vallese is mesmerizing to watch. Interesting how his character face changes during the film.

The ending was a real shock, and very brave of the film-makers to attempt.

cannot say too much. I have seen Humanity's End, the director's other film and these 2 films book end each other. They take place in the same universe but are 1000 years apart.

Watch with an open mind. Don't think the budget was too large.

Don't expect a blockbuster.

Very accurate to the story...
23 April 2011
I was quite surprised with this film. if anyone has read the story it came from, FINALLY someone has been loyal to the Ray Bradbury Story and not moved off into their own self-belief. I suppose if you are a teenager who expects a Scyfy monster of the week, this isn't for you. But real Science Fiction is what this film is, and at it's best. Obviously the film is on a small budget, but it is handled well and succinctly by its producers and director. the actor work well and appear credible.

The make-up effects work well and the film manages to purvey a dark/gloomy tone. It is not meant to be a film like 300 with a huge scope and bombastic action. It is an intellectual examination of an alien presence on Earth. Watched it once, will watch it again.

More films like this please!
