Can't understand the hate

To be honest after reading some of the reviews before watching the show i thought that it was going to be terrible. I was pleasantly suprised! It might be not historically correct or a pure adaptation of the original work of art or of the time period but it surely was a really interesting and light watch. The scenery, costumes were brilliant as well as the acting . The chemistry between the main characters was intense. Matthew gave an amazing performance throughout the season considering it might be one of his biggest roles as an actor ( if i'm not mistaken ).

Another notable mention is the soundtrack , the song choices were really good. I recommend giving it a try if you remain still a bit sceptical. It might not be a pure adaptation of the original but it encopasses modern twists that make it a bit more modern and interesting to watch. I hope they renew it for season 2 it would be a big shame if they cancelled it .

Better than expected

The buzz around the movie made me believe that it would be a mediocre film to watch. Before reading all the drama behind the movie and the bad press that was created around it I was made to believe that I wouldn't like the film at all despite the compelling themes that drawn me in in the first place after watching the trailer. I have to say that I really enjoyed the film, the score was really fitting and built tension between the scenes. All of the actors did a really good job overall. Jack's character resembled a guy that could be seen exploring forums that have sexist rhetoric and are frequented by incels. It touches upon gender roles and their positions in society. The only negative thing i can say is that Olivia could have explored these themes more because the ending felt a bit abrupt.
