I just remembered why I hate films that have dramatic underlying continuous music scores ... they are nearly always low budget stinkers featuring a B movie cast , and this one is no exception.
Avoid it unless you really have nothing else to watch , like paint drying for instance , which is possibly more interesting .

This film starts off okay with a fairly easy and straightforward plot. Halfway through it take a turn for the worse and the whole storyline falls about. The end of the movie is disappointing , and you begin to wonder why you spent the last hour and half watching it.

Four drunks stumble upon a magic shop with a difference .... starts a little slow , but gradually the story unfolds and there is a twist at the end.
Well worth watching , if only to see Warren Mitchell deliver another convincing role.
John Malcolm reminded me of a young Harry H Corbett , in fact I was convinced it was him and had to wait for the end of the film to check the credits.

This film still carries a strong mention even in today's modern world
Great cast , with excellent performances from John Mills and Sylvia Sims
