Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life (2016)
Amazing Book. Horrendous film. (Warning: I have an opinion)
This took everything that was good from the book. Like the relatability, and the bittersweet ending and interesting drawings and just makes this a generic American middle school film with too much goofiness, completely destroying the organic feel of the book. Congratulations. Somehow it has made the worst book to film adaptation I have ever seen!
Breadwinners (2014)
I nearly cried when I found out how much people hate this show
What annoys me is that everyone (including me) is not the audience this show is aimed for. This is aimed for kids and kids aren't going to write a review on IDMB. If I watch it again, I probably won't like it but when I was a kid, I absolutely adored this show. It was close to SpongeBob on my favourite Nickelodeon cartoons. All I did was laugh and laugh, the plots were great, the characters were great and even my parents enjoyed watching this with me. If you are reading this review then you are not a kid and probably won't enjoy this show. But if a kid does see it, they are in for a treat.
Odoru meido in Wario (2006)
One of the best WarioWares
The form baton... I mean remote is perfect for Warioware. The different positions you can hold it feel comfortable and reliant. Apart from a some microgames, most of the motion controls work well.
However, half the time you play a new microgame, you don't know what you're doing and you fail.
Also this game is funny and random with you shooting down a giant nose with bananas coming out of your nose.
Also, the music. THE MUSIC IS AMAZING! I can go on about how every track in the game is catchy and I mean.... EVERY! I'd pay good money for this music alone.
The characters are really great as well with each one being cool, unique and funny (except for Jimmy P). I prefer these designs to the dreaded redesigns in Warioware Gold.
I can always find myself playing this game as I'm always trying to get a high score however not a lot of replayability.
Overall, really good, very silly and good family fun.
Goat Simulator (2014)
More fun than it should be
It's simple, you're a goat. You destroy things. There are a lot more things you can do like get achievements or unlock new goats. The graphics may not be good and it may be very glitchy but that what makes this game so fun. Just completely destroying the game is fun and the glitches aren't really that annoying.
Don't expect a masterpiece of a game, just a simple concept and simple fun.
Doubutsu no mori: Happî hômu dezainâ (2015)
Really puts the Happy in Home
Sure, it may not involve as much content as other Animal Crossing Games but this is the perfect spinoff for that franchise. Unlike, Amiibo Festival which was bad in every way. It took one of the main mechanics in Animal Crossing and expanded it greatly with a new easy way to place, move, rotate and customise furniture. And it adds rugs, ceiling items and the ability to place furniture freely outside.
One really big nitpick for me is that you immediately exit the menu when placing furniture and how you have to spend ages looking for the "new" furniture. I wish there was a filter.
With there being many villagers, there are many different tasks you can do. And the amiibo cards aren't a pay to win at all. Just optional for bonus content.
Another big nitpick is that no matter what, your villager says they love their new house whether it only has three furniture or you have spent hours on it. But that also does mean that it is optional how much effort you're willing to put in the home.
Overall, this is a good game with a few issues but you should definitely play it if you have a spare 30 minutes for one task.
