Liam Neeson - acts his quintessential role with unheralded supremacy. Blacklight is engaging fun in its "action and thriller" totality. Oscar nominations, not - no such pretentious objective here. Whining about lack of character development, etc., misses the very purpose of the enterprise. A shoot 'em up, quick paced, violently engaging movie. That's all. Mr. Neeson has repeatedly demonstrated he owns this role and does so here, with aplomb, yet again. So, if you're in search of the next Academy Award nominated film - look elsewhere - this is what it is, an action thriller! 9 enthusiastic stars.
