Unpleasantly bad

Unpleasantly bad An unpleasantly bad, without any quality spy story (that it is not).

The Vera series is an absolute failure.

Why?

Everything in this series is so cheap, without anything to overcome that meager principle: no humor, no interest, absolutely no intrigue. Even the music is absolutely irritating (I guess it imitates spy movies).

Bad: script, direction, acting... So unconvincing, unmotivated and extremely shallow, from scene to scene.

The sound is extremely bad, half of the actors are incomprehensible.

The attempt to make a spy story come is a complete failure.

Imitating espionage motives is funny-sad. Sometimes, above all, it is funny, although that is by no means the director's intention.

The main actress Jovana Stojiljkovic is beyond all acting standards - bad.

One disappointing series without any qualities.

Between Lydia Tarr and Cate Blanchett
9 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I'm watching the movie "Tar" and I admire Cate Blanchett's perfect acting skills again and again.

The film deals with the life of a famous composer and an inspired conductor who is established in elitist musical circles. Her performances of Mahler are equated with a divine experience.

Lydia Tar lives at a distance from reality, and the ultimate emphasis on her greatness creates inner solitude, emptiness.

Fed by admiration, Lydia becomes egoistic, callous to others. Strong sensuality and spirituality are transformed into emotional deviance.

This film may not appeal to everyone: there are pretentious, generic motifs characteristic of "intellectualized" films...

Bad and shallow criticism
14 December 2022
What?

Why did the authors destroy an interesting series, beautifully directed, well led by the actors, at the very end with this shallow dystopian last episode. I'm really disappointed with how they ended the series.

I don't want to say that social engagement is wrong, or even out of place in the Spotify story, but this episode completely missed its mark!

I don't understand why the authors would want to place the end of the story in the near future? Is this prediction of the development of events with music platforms a bit of a low blow to the founder of Spotify?

I'm not sure this is a good way to get the message across. In the cinematic sense, it is a failure, and at the conceptual level, it is insufficiently developed and shallow.

No dynamics, no real emotions
25 January 2021
One everyday story told without real emotion; too straight, without any tension. It's as if a film was made for Balkan emigration, to remember what a Christmas celebration at home looks like ... After all, who would title a film like this? Ajvar?! An empty, boring movie.
