Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again (2022)

Not as bad as the reviews say!

While it doesn't stack up to the humor and fast paced plot lines in the original films, this is not a bad film. It's a lot of fun to watch and brings a whole new perspective on the museum. Some reviews have suggested that the movie was unnecessary, a fact I don't completely disagree with. Nevertheless, I did enjoy myself.

With the story medium changing it also brings a lot of changes to the story. This is not inherently good or bad, but the change has been done well (with a beautiful style of animation!) and allows for a completely new audience to enjoy the same characters and stories!

I really liked the original films and while this is very different from them, it is still and entertaining and engaging watch that I would recommend to anyone who enjoyed the previous films or had never seen any of them.

Mr. Midnight: Beware the Monsters (2022)

While it has it's slightly cringeworthy and cheesy moments, it is a very fun watch! The concept of teens hunting monsters and other supernatural beings is far from new, but this show places a unique spin on it! With likeable characters with realistic storylines and responses to the situations they find themselves in, Mr Midnight portrays a relatable character experience.

Personally, I really loved learning about the different cultural elements of Singapore, especially the different mythology stories. I also liked how each episode contained and almost standalone story, so that you could almost watch any episode and be able to understand it.

I definitely recommend giving this show a try, it is the perfect show to lightheartedly binge watch to relax!

Outer Banks (2020– )

This show is ridiculous and that's why it's good.

This show is ridiculous and that's why it's good. People keep complaining about the logistics and reality around this show. It's not supposed to be realistic, guys. It's a fun show to watch when you want to take your mind off things. It has interesting characters, a fun treasure hunt plot and plot twists that aren't to surprising. You don't have to think about it, you can just switch it on and watch 28 year olds pretending to be 16, running around with guns and chasing 400 million in gold. It's a dramatic show aimed at teenagers, it doesn't need to be realistic.
