Slip (2006)
7/10
Its in the details, the devil or otherwise
23 December 2011
When I view any film, I am highly aware of details, weather its Saving Private Ryan or SLIP, I am sort OCD about weapons, firearms, shooting scenes and the like.

You can tell that by the "action" scenes that someone in this production "tutored" the actors in the proper use and handling of firearms, Just look at the way Jill Small unloads/loads the revolver, and the way Hosea, Cal et al handle themselves with the weapons. Although there was not as much gun play as a true "Action" movie you could also tell that they went to the expense of getting real movie blanks, with exception of the L.A.P.D. officer in the hospital scene having a Chrome Snub Nose revolver for a duty weapon, it appears the choice of firearms was appropriate for the scenes.

I know you may be saying...a gun is a gun is a gun...but this bit a detail is important to more folks than you may know...just ask another viewer...all in all I wish they had more money to work with but for the first effort it was commendable. It would be neat to see a re-make involving some named actors incorporating some of the originals. I could see Don Turner remaining in his role as well as Hosea, but Jill Small would be replaced by Emma Stone or Kristen Stewart...Just a thought folks...give this movie a chance with an open mind and it will not disappoint.
