Love train and airplane thrillers with claustrophobic tension. There is nowhere to run while thrusting towards impending doom. Unfortunately, I found none of that here. Much of the movie is people reacting to the crisis.
Very little background is invested into the villain or how this bombing plan was hatched and executed. The only meaningful scenes were the ones back in the railroad command and control center. Their attempts at stopping train without triggering the bombs were pretty ingenious.
The movie is a tad below average for me. It had just enough going on to keep my interest but the payoff at the end fell flat. Another rainy day movie you can play in the background.

From the very start I enjoyed the first glimpses of the main characters. Ray and Manny were convincing as cosplaying Feds who stick up local drug dealers. The tables turn when they hit the wrong house. The two ruff and gruff "feds" are now SCREAMING banshees on the run.
When these 2 actors aren't pretending to be Feds and falling back to their primary characters, the limits of their acting skills are apparent. Both men just rely on emotional outbursts or shamelessly crying through their lines hiding their inability to sell the dialogue. Ving Rhames and Kate Mulgrew play the roles of Ray's parents. Of the 2, Kate does a better job with a hint of boldness and comedy. Ving is not really there in his lines, he's got the new Mission Impossible movie to worry about.
I'm at episode 6 and will force myself to finish out the season. I do enjoy the intro song but that isn't enough to score this show higher than 3 stars.
