Noblemen (2018)
Astoundedly thought provoking
This is not the sort of movie I normally view, but being requested to do so, I am totally astounded, my head spinning to comprehend the enormity of man's deprivation.
A brilliant background setting in the Christian school (thus grace and love expected to abound):
a clever plot built around "The Merchant of Venice" (provided you already know the play) where I find it interesting that the words: "pound of flesh" (Act 4 Scene 1) never surfaced (I hope I did not missed it) but was always hovering in my mind;
a modern situation saturated with potential well-known conflict: personal and interpersonal and intra-personal, which erupted from time tot time without any redemption at all (thus contradicting the background and the plot-story).
To say I enjoyed the movie would be false, to say that I appreciate it addressing various contentious and contemporary issues, is absolutely correct. Therefor my 8 for this movie.
