Red Notice (2021)
Adding that tonedeaf ginger was the biggest mistake
But yeah the Rock isn't very convincing either.
Godot is beautiful, but not the greatest actress either.
I rather like Reynolds, but his role is always kind of the same.
Kind of easy brainless entertainment for when you're tired, bit nothing remarkable.
Trying to combine a caper story like Ocean's Eleven with Indiana Joens was kind of nice though.
UPA! Una película argentina (2007)
enjoyable and slightly special
This movie happened to be the first I got to see at the recent 2007 edition of the film festival of Ghent, which focused on Argentina. At first I felt totally bewildered and estranged by the all too jumpy camera (I don't think it stands still for more than 2 frames during the first five minutes!) and the sometimes rather atrocious acting (i.e. overacting). Yet this got better during the remainder of the film. The director in the film should stick to directing, but some of the actors were rather good, like the Argentinian actress in the film. In the end the film left me with a feeling of sympathy for this small and flawed, but often engaging project.
Don't expect a masterpiece, but it certainly deserves a better overall quoting than it gets now, IMDbers!
