The Mandalorian: Chapter 22: Guns for Hire (2023)
iDroid?
This episode like many before in this season do not uplive to the Mandalorian standard of being good quality. This felt like a side mission to a side mission. Why was Din even there? Bo was supposed to go her own way. I really do not like how bo is taking over the show.
Jon must has a vision and is setting up a bigger story, but this aint it.
This episode felt like I was watching iRobot. Would rather have seen Will Smith make a cameo than Jack Black.
There were about 3 episodes who I quite liked an were taking the story of Din and Grogu further. The rest felt like useless fillers. Why would they give him an armor disc that is almost bigger than his torso.
I would rather see the story pace on and see the return of Moff Gideon and possibly Thrawn. See the rise of the first order or something, even though those movies sucked.
Get Smart (2008)
Threat Level Midnight
Very good Comedy with a nice pacing of the story. A movie with Steve Carell is provable a guaranteed succes.
The movie is based on a standard plotline we have seen a dozen of times already, but there is something about the action combined with comedy which makes it work great.
This is exactly the movie Threat Level Midnight would have been if it bad the budget for a real movie.
Steve Carell kills it and demolishes everyone on his way. Maybe they need a clean up in isle 5.
There are a lot of comedy parts which made me laugh out loud, if thats the case it is a good comedy. Unfortunately they do not make gems like this often.
Rick and Morty: Juricksic Mort (2022)
Probably one of the best episode in years
This episode has an oldschool Rick and Morty vibe. It feels like I just started watching it back when it first released.
There finally is a some sort of overall story trough this season.
One thing is that it looked a lot like the planet music episode, which is probably my favorite episode ever. So I do not complain.
I cannot wait what is to unfold for the rest of the season, unfortunately there is a bit of a wait but overall this is way better than last two seasons! Rick and Morty is back. Show me what you got!
Hopefully some interdimensional cable this season.
Honorabel mention: Boob world.
Andor: Aldhani (2022)
Fillers
Why are star wars shows known for such short episodes. Andor episodes only last like 30 minutes. The intro is about 3 minutes and the outro more like 6/7 minutes which leaves this episode at about 35 minutes. They could have easily combined last and this ones episode together and made one filler episode.
Overall I like the theme not being on a dessert planet for once.
Andors backstory seems like an interesting arc and I would love to see some of the darker things the Republic has done. Covering things up under Separatist names.
Hopefully we get to see some real developments in the next episode.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part VI (2022)
Disney you were the chosen one.......
You were the one to bring balance to Star Wars. Not leave it in darkness...
They destroyed my favorite character and gave us the Reva show. She should've just died by Vaders hands.
The last episode was pretty good, if they just left Reva out and made it into a movie it would've been better.
I have waited an entire idk 4,5 hours to finally hear him say: "Hello there".
At least that saved it kinda?
We also finally got to see Qui-Gon. He must be pissed that he died from being stabbed by a saber, and everyone else in the universe just rubbed it off and moved on with their lives.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor (2022)
Rancong and Cobb the Hutt?
Wellp this was an underwhelming season finally... Boba finally realized he is a bounty hunter after all? One thing for sure he is a killer rancor rider or should I say rancong or kongcor. Why on earth didn't Grogu chose the lightsaber? Guess he is going to be ruler of Mandalore when he grows up.
So Cobb the Hutt will be the new Daimyo?
Krrsantan was killing it as always. Absolutely legend.
Killing of Cad Bane after 5 minutes of screentime... such a pity. At least let him kill "Master Assassin" Fennec Shand.
I almost cheered after seeing the vespa gang getting killed off but unfortunately they didn't.
So what's left for Boba? I wish Cad Bane hinted on Mace Windu to "draw him out" but that didn't happen. Maybe he goes on a journey to find Mace next season? If there will be another season. Let's hope that happens.
At least give Boba a worthy end.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 2: The Tribes of Tatooine (2022)
Boba the Tusken
Better than the first episode, nice to see some backstory once again. We see more of how Tuskan's live than boba being a badass like in the Mandalorian. I hope next episode we will get to see him being a badass again.
Gemini Man (2019)
Geenscreemini man
Its just like watching a really long cut scene of a very bad video game...
The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (2020)
Mace Windu
Missed opportunity, but I guess you cannot bring anyone back from the dead. Maybe next season ;)
Overall killer episode! I love how Esposito portrays his roll as Moff.
Sad to see Baby Yoda go with Luke.
Im not going to call him Grogu..
The Mandalorian: Chapter 14: The Tragedy (2020)
Fat Boba
Since my last review was not appreciated by the community, this episode is what I wished for. Love to see Boba back in action and teaming up with mando. Seeing the Slave I back in action is giving me my childhood memories back.
I still don't get why they named him Grogu. I should have gone with a name starting with a Y.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 13: The Jedi (2020)
Can we skip Ahsoka and add more Boba?
This episode left me with mixed feelings.
Personally this season could had a lot more potential if it was done differently. I hope we wont see any more Ashoka this season.
Mad Men: The Crash (2013)
Underrated
One of the best episodes of the season. If you do not understand these types of episodes just quit watching good series.
