The Lie (2018)
I don't get the negative reviews about this one
This movie definitely deserved a much higher rating than all those godawful quick-and-cheap movies being churned out by the dozens. I thought the story was intriguing and kept me engaged throughout, the twist at the end was also well done, the photography was high quality. People who hated this film should stick to their freaking reality tv shows and shut up.
Away (2020)
A Squandered Opportunity
I agree with the stance of other viewers who were disappointed with this series. While the acting was top notch and special FX/sets were realistic, the story focused far too much attention on the family drama than on the actual mission and the hardships facing the crew on such a dangerous journey and their survival on Mars upon landing.
There is already an abundance of shows/movies on NF that deal with relationships & family dynamic, and far too few respectable sci-fi films and series of which it has been proven time and again that a great interest for such content exists (and not just among the nerds of the world).
I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)
A Terrible Adaptation
I read the book some months ago before even knowing that it would be turned into a Netflix movie, and I am one of those people who absolutely HATE when filmmakers take someone else's hard work and put their own (mostly awful) ideas into the story. It astounds me why any self-respecting author would allow this, other than out of desire for a big paycheck.
