Being a Spy Kids movie, it has to live up to a high bar. Just for being a Spy Kid movie, it gets a five. I'm not always a huge fan of the kids always convincing the bad guy to end up being good, because that's honestly not what a kid would do in that situation. That made me lose some interest. Although, the visual effects were quite appealing.
The storyline is the same as always. The parents don't tell the kids they're spies, ship them off to a safe house, then the bad guys break in. Once broken in, the kids are brought to the OSS, where they escape using some sort of plane. They go to where the bad guys are located, defeat them, and teach them a lesson. That plot was okay the first four times. For a fifth movie, you would think they'd change it. But props to the kids, because that's not an easy role. All that aside, it was still an enjoyable family movie that I highly recommend. I'm excited for the next one in ten years.
