Code: Debugging the Gender Gap (2015)
Good documentary enjoyed it!
I enjoyed the documentary I felt it was a genuine depiction of what happens to women in the male dominated tech industries. I believe the information may have been a little dated in some cases but in others I thought it was spot on. I enjoyed learning about Grace Hopper and her contributions to coding It reminded me of the black women (computers) that NASA used to put the first man on the moon and everything they had to endure. These classic ladies have laid some sturdy ground work for our futures now the women today just have to hold on to it!
The Tradesmen (2011)
Making an art of work is a labor of love
This film is a wonderful depiction of real life people working in their labors of love. The Blue Collar worker is just as important as any worker and maybe even more important if you consider they are the "necessary jobs" just like a Doctor is a "necessary job", think about it. I learned how our society sees the differences in social classes and treats people. The cultural divides and tensions with certain groups feel the destain. Great movie I highly recommend it!
