Flying Home (2014)
Dornan Does it Again!!!
With the release of Jamie Dornan's newest film i decided to do a Jamie Dornan week and go through all his body of work.
From watching him as Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades of Grey" to watching him play serial Killer Paul Spector in "The Fall" Jamie Dornan can pack a punch. So when i came across this film i decided it was defiantly on the top of the list of movies staring Jamie Dornan i wanted to see and I'm glad i did.
This movie was fantastic! Dornan and Charlotte De Bruyne had a chemistry that came out in their filming with one another. I wouldn't go out and say this is a romance movie since this movie focused on the connection of a man and his love for birds and Colin's(Dornan) struggle to understand the bond between owner and bird and Isabelle(De Bruyne) helps him see the man underneath the suit and helps him find the connection between not only the love of family but the love of all things.
This movie is a must see for the soft hearted and yes the romantics in the world.
Dornan and De Bruyne have it in this touching film.
But this could just be me, I'm an Indie film lover at heart and this was my kind of movie.
Fifty Shades of Grey (2015)
Don't Be Fooled This Movie Was GOOD!!!
I usually don't leave reviews for movies i've seen, but i feel this movie is getting such a bad name that i had to put my two cents in. This movie had so many things going against it before it was even released and a lot of viewers let that cloud their minds. With that said this movie was no SOFT CORE PORN! I'm tired of hearing it referenced as such, as of today i've seen this movie twice and enjoyed it both times. True this movie can be a little confusing if you didn't read the book and that's why i'm giving it a 9/10 rating. BUT on the acting Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are right on key. Critics stated that Dornan didn't bring the depth to his character but i have to disagree with their assessment. I felt that Dornan brought a kind of awkward not comfortable in his skin kind of feel to Grey which is how Grey is in the books, he isn't comfortable with himself but puts on a the front of a cold and calculated individual and Dornan brings that to the screen in flying colors. Johnson brought Ana to the screen is such a way that we all felt for her when she struggled to except Grey's world and we were able to connect with her on an emotional level. I'm not going to go into depth and tell you part of the movie or the book because those would be spoilers so with that i'm urging viewers that have not read the book to go into this movie with open eyes, don't focus on the bad publicity this film has been getting for it's sexual content and it's BDSM content, focus on the love store woven into this movie, and i hope the people that do watch this movie feel the need to read this series, there is a lot more to this series then meets eye. I hope there are more open minded people out there then close minded.
Across the Universe (2007)
One of the best movies this year....
Can i just say Wow This movie was all around fantastic. I loved it, Jim Sturgess did a fantastic job as Jude his musical performance was off the charts this boy is rising to the top and fast. When i first heard of this movie i was a little skeptical about it mostly because of the remake of these legendary Beatles Songs. When i first started to get into the movie and Jim Sturgess started to sing one of my favorite Beatles songs 'all my loving' i was like my god this movie is going to be off the charts. It was, it was off the charts, it was mind blowing. The songs they picked to represent the things going on through the movie were perfect like 'Strawberry Fields', when Jude was putting up all those strawberries showing nothing was real around him and he felt that he did not have purpose and he did not really know himself at that point in time. Over all this was a fantastic movie and i would say Jim Sturgess is one of favorite actors now so right on.
"All You Need Is Love"
The Covenant (2006)
The Covenant
OK this is a great movie. I loved it i went to see it with my older sister and she loved is as well. Steven Stait did a fantastic job as Caleb Danvers. Most of the movies i have seen him were kind of for kids and teens, but this one i would say would be for teens and adults. If you like spiders you will think some of the scenes are cool. I love magic and the magic in this was so cool i was so happy. There was a car seen that blow my mind away. There is one thing i did not like and that was the fact that they did not show all the guys. There was one guy you never see half the time so that was bad. I would have like to see more of them all using there powers together instead of that one seen that they did meaning they should have did more.Well this was the best movie i have seen him in. It is a plus that all these guys are hot. The point is this movie was the bomb. The Acting i think was great i have seen bad acting and there's was not bad at all. So i would tell everyone to see this movie and the fight seen is great.
