Star Trek: Picard: Watcher (2022)
Another great and interesting episode
Yes the show is in the slow pace moment, but that doesn't mean that it is stagnated, quite the contrary. Seven and Raffi are perfect together their humor is spot-on and the easter egg of one of the most beloved trek films was both hilarious and nostalgic. Jurati and the borg queen are another good example of good the show has been going, the borg queen is finally getting a taste of herself in another person. Picard and Rios are good too, the explaining of how this earth is and all the inequality and greed hit too close to home and function as criticism not only to the earth in the show but to our whole society in general.
Star Trek: Picard: Penance (2022)
How "tapestry" of you, Star Trek Picard
Magnificent! The whole episode brig us so many things of this alternative authoritarian universe. It seems a more "grown-up" and not so "sketchy" version of the mirror universe, which I totally buy it and from a storytelling perspective I loved it. The only thing that set me off was Jurati, is the show trying to transform her in some kind of Tilly from Discovery? What's up with that awkward humor thing?
The easter eggs were really good but Seven I really wished that you were briefed in the situation by that other character...
Star Trek: Picard: The Star Gazer (2022)
Stunning
I had a few complaints, a cigar in the bridge? Really?!!? But after seeing the stargazer and all of the insides of that ship I just fell in love with those designs... amazing imagine a show with a ship like that, I really wished that we could begin a new chapter in star trek about the 25th century following after ST Picard and the resolution of the romulan supernova plot with maybe a war between the Romulans and Klingons? That would be interesting!
The Witcher: Kaer Morhen (2021)
Good episode, not perfect
My main complaint about the episode is how they treated the Eskiel character, at first when he appeared, it passed the impression that he had Lambert's personality, that was explained later because of the Leshern that took control of his body, but still it didn't feel like him.
I might be biased because of the calm and chill way he is in the games, the book doesn't give us much about him but he doesn't die in the books and he helps Ciri in her training. I felt his death to be quite shallow, us the audience could have more time with his character to at least give his death some meaning.
Yennefer's part in other hand was really good, the visions and the elves treaty with Nilfgaard is something that the books don't specify and it is really good word building of the politics and alliances of the Witcher world.
The Witcher: A Grain of Truth (2021)
So good as, or even better than the books
How they put Ciri into the plot was really good and didn't hurt the storyline of Nivellen, it also gave us really interesting dialogs and depth to the character that otherwise only would have interactions only with Geralt.
The fight between Geralt and the Bruxa was amazing they really capture the feeling of the fight in the books and also in the games, the visual of the Bruxa was so spot on that took me immediately to the games.
Overall a great and really strong episode with a impeccable soundtrack and acting.
Star Trek: Discovery: The Examples (2021)
This is Star trek
A Star Trek series finally finding its place in the 4th season, is there something more Star Trek than that? I can't think of any...
Another really good episode that mix it the serialized with the season's plot that works really well.
Star Trek: Discovery: All Is Possible (2021)
Discovery is finally find it's place
Not only the characters are growing each episode but the series comes with a more political landscape that is something that star trek always did very well and discovery did it too. This episode come with some trek cliches but I really loved it, yes, it could be worked better but I'm glad that they are there.
Star Trek: Lower Decks: Wej Duj (2021)
This was so good that could have be the plot of a TNG episode
Not only the episode was really fun and hilarious it had also a great plot and interesting things going on, the Vulcan ship from enterprise, the way that Klingon ships function inside (a nod to the TNG and DS9 Klingon episodes) and the final reveal that the Packleds were working with the rebel Klingon captain.
We had a really good time with Boimler too, he trying to fit in and be recognized and getting that at the end was really amazing. And the final borg joke was spot on hilarious. This was one of the best Lower Decks episodes until now!
Star Trek: Lower Decks: Kayshon, His Eyes Open (2021)
A really good episode
The best thing about ST Lower Decks is going boldly into the franchise where no other ST series had before. Who would've thought that they where bring Boimler back to the Cerritos as a transport clone?! That's some genius and hilarious writing !
