Portals (2019)
Um...
I liked the trailer the best. The movie itself... not so much. It was an interesting premise that went nowhere. No character development, no story explanation. Nothing, nada, zip, zilch. I watched this while recovering from major surgery. It may have seemed more interesting if I had watched it while on painkillers. My husband fell asleep within the first fifteen minutes. How I envied him. When he woke up he asked if it was over and if it got any better. I accused him of deserting me as I had no way of turning it off. Save yourself from this movie and just watch the trailer. Its the only decent part.
SEAL Team (2017)
Love this show but...
I'm former Navy and I miss the Navy very much (got injured so got discharged). I even dated a Teams guy after my discharge. I have loved this show from day one. Not all of it is accurate but there is a lot that is. What I don't like is that this show is moving to a streaming service. I will miss seeing Bravo Team each week.
The Hot Zone (2019)
Scary
When I saw The Exorcist it scared me out of my mind and I slept on my mom's bedroom floor for a few nights. When I read The Stand and The Shining back to back I slept on my mom's bedroom floor again. After watching this and seeing how easy it would be for a Level 4 virus to spread and take hold... yup, I slept on my mom's bedroom floor again (at the age of 51 no less).
Clown (1968)
fond childhood memory
I saw this way back in the early 70's in grade school. I remember it made me cry every time they showed it. I have always remembered "Clown" very fondly and have searched for it countless times over the years. For the times it was, and still is in my opinion, and amazing lesson. It seemed we used to see the same films... "Red Balloon", "Sounder" and "Clown". I saw a music video recently and the ending of the video reminded me a bit of this movie so it renewed my search. I am so glad I finally found it! Now I just have to track down a copy to watch again. I think it will most likely still make me cry. I wish today's generation could see the movies I did in school. These are wonderful messages.
