The Incident (1967)
Very vivid and true...
I started watching this movie from where the two hoodlums begin encroaching into the personal space of the passengers. The movie has captured extremely accurately how people feel and behave when they are internally unable to stand up to such victimization. The emotions displayed by both the victims and the victimizers are so true to life! This movie has surely been created by someone who has a keen understanding of life and himself.
It is not what the hoodlums say or do that matters in creating a victim of someone. What matters is what the victim thinks. If only the victim can think clearly under such circumstances, he/she can throw off the chains that stop him/her from standing up to the victimizer. You see, it is not the victimizer who is stopping the victim from acting. It is the victim's thoughts that are stopping him/her.
I know because, I have been a victim of such behavior from others, as well as someone who has acted boldly under similar circumstances. I have thought long and hard over what stopped me when it did and I have come to the conclusions which I presented above.
Great movie!
A Wing and a Prayer (1998)
Great film.
It is intelligent, engaging, well-acted, and mostly believable. At the end, I wanted more. The cast is good. On the whole, this was a great movie - great enough for me to go through the IMDb's registration process just so as to give this movie a just review. On a scale of 10, I will give 9 points to the TV version that I saw on USA movies (TV usually edits out any foul language and slackness).
