I'm hoping a lot of viewers outside the US watch this epic

I was just at the cinema. . The film didn't deswegen these negative assessments . I was captivated from the beginning. But I didn't expect John Wayne or Clint Eastwood either! Yes, the movie starts slowly. But There are many storylines to be introduced. I think the script has weaknesses Maybe it would have been good to tell the stories a little more strictly. But I don't write scripts, so that's an arrogant opinion.

But with an open mind you will soon understand how the development will run.

I like that from the beginning all sides are involved, the settlers, the army, the natives.

Suspension and emotions sufficiently present. The soundtrack was good, the camera work excellent. The landscape needs no recommendation, it is simply wonderful.

I am now waiting for the next part.

First of all, I would like to say that I am not an absolute fan of historical or costume films. But when they tell a good story, I like it. Like here. The critic reviews don't hit the core. And despite the negative rating, the series has long stood as No. 1 at Prime. This shows me that you should not show your movies / series to these "important" people before the start.

To the story: interestingly told so far, good set. I am pleased that Ivan Rheon has been given a leading role. What bothers me is the language, why do you think that the noble Romans spoke so prominently. A little less sex wouldn't be bad either, every adult knows how to do it since Bridgerton at the latest 😂. I hope for s2 despite the economic problems of pecock.

Okay, I tried. First of all, a good, credible cast.

But unfortunately, the implementation is much more cheesy than I expected. When I put myself in this time, I doubt very much that people have spoken so detachedly. On top of that, the common people. The story results from the representation, not from funny talking. The script is not conclusive.

There is also a lot of cgi, which makes the series very implausible in my eyes.

In my eyes, this series is very primitive in the dialogues and unbelievable. The representation of nudity and sex also does not help the story.

It was certainly not produced cheaply. But the screenwriters didn't understand anything. It's a soap opera with a lot of blood and no content. I expected more. I don't understand the ratings. Now she is being messed up on freevee , which says a lot.

An extraordinary series. All actors play very well. I also like the idea of the alter ego. Unfortunately, this series tries to treat everything. Homosexuality and the then necessary concealment, social misery, racism, child abuse, the influence of money on city politics, the bad father/son relationship, the evil Russians. The disregard of the money of the parents by the following generation. The nobles are the homeless (with the exception of the drug addicts). The people with a normal life are the outlaws. I would have loved it so much, but the longer I watched, the more the teaching bothered me.

Very nicely made series with a good Taron Edgerton.

I am pleased about the correct presentation of the story of Tetris.

Of course it is made to entertain viewers. But: it is a very nice representation of the time.vor Everything inspired me by the conduct of business.

And interestingly illustrated how this sensational electronic game came onto the market back then.

On the political side, it is in any case not a false representation of the conditions in the Soviet Union at that time.

The so-called critics don't even know what they are writing about. Growing up in a capitalist society, they can't empathize with these people at all.

I love confusion and humor. Also good actors.

Conclusion for me: I have probably become too stupid over the years. I wanted to understand this simple action movie. But obviously it is not intended that the content should be understood intellectually. Just action, CGI, and incomprehensible dialogues should be viewed. In addition, Cavill should not have been the focus of advertising. He actually has a supporting role.

I would have liked a funny action-dominated film so much, but unfortunately this film is only elaborately produced with a great Claudia Schiffer cat.

I understand why the movie flopped.

Good films with a historical background are not often seen. The script often plays an important role. The camera, the soundtrack and not least the main actor also decide on the success with the audience (but not with the critics)

This film is produced for the big screen. Unfortunately, the audience didn't like it there. In streaming, unfortunately, the cgi and all electronic aids become too visible. These are just too many fake pictures for me.

Unfortunately, the entry into the history of the film could not captivate me, humanly incomprehensible, why Napoleon became the way he became. It certainly wasn't just banging around with cannons. The film didn't captivate me emotionally. The story is not conclusively told for me. Unfortunately, despite the fact that I love Riley Scott's movies very much.

A little first: The low ratings from the first may and the next day can only be from the spectators of the preview. This was not an audience for which the film was made, but a know-it-all audience that perhaps expected a new Oppenheimer.

The film celebrates the stuntmen of the industry. And that with all visual violence. The film is entertaining, partly funny, of which could be more. The story is sometimes a bit twisted, but what's the point? There are so many bad stories whose wrapping as a film that has been awarded recently. But they did not win the hearts of the viewers..

Emily and Ryan play the couple very nicely. Ryan is so talented that I wonder, what can't he do? He can sing, dance, show emotions and now also do hard stunts. Who doesn't love him?

In this day and age, the film is worth its weight in gold, go there and it's very much for you!

First of all, I have a question that no one answers me. Why do the older ladies look like they are the age of Emma Roberts? That's just ridiculous.

Otherwise, it is Not a real comedy. I think it's because of the author and not the performers.

Here I can only see Unimportant problems of wealthy people. Not even funny. I think they have no more ideas or if they have ideas they contradict the self-imposed limits. I wish so much for a comedy where I can laugh heartily.

It is simply tiring to listen to these flat and intrusive dialogues again and again. It is no wonder that this film also had little success in the theaters. Too bad about it.

I'm certainly a film lover. I love weird humor. In my eyes, Monty Python is a master. From my points of view, it can also be at the expense of the wealthy and their quirks.

Because the times are serious, I longed for laughter and also for exaggerated humor. I'm not a prude either. I am also interested in innovative formats in streaming and television.

Due to the masses of prices, I have turned to this series. I started twice for S1 and my interest is always extinguished after the first two episodes. At s2 I made it up to episode 3.

Has the understanding of humor changed so much since "its complicated" or "Crazy, stupid love" or Monty Python?

The series is extremely primitive, humorless and also not weird. Why she was so overwhelmed with awards is unclear to me. Maybe the filming locations are decisive? I also could not discover any excessive interest of the viewers in the streaming rating. But I wish the cast actors a lot of fun shooting, certainly a nice environment again. And maybe there will be another Emmy.

Finally another intelligent historical series

When I first saw this series, I thought it was the usual. But it's a historical series with real people, only - they lived in amcient Rome. Neverless , you can get to know the way of life at the time.

But I was surprised. Beautiful story, well-cast roles. Thank God there are no "stars" With one exception so that the story is the focus.

Exciting development of the story, very lifelike.

Good script, good direction, not drowning soundtrack.

This is no longer so common these days. Therefore, this series is not price-suspicious because it depicts people as people in their time. Thanks to the scriptwriters and producers.

I hope for s3!

First of all, I wanted to see a satire. Kate Winslet and schoearts gave me the last impulse.

At the beginning I thought it was not about today's politics and the satire does not hit any political side. But at the end of s1/1, the political direction is indicated.

I can't express my great disappointment at all. First of all, I think that the content is not presented in a humorous manner. You could still criticize so much, but I'll leave it at that.

Maybe this series is not aimed at me as a German viewer. Maybe I'm not the target group. Or I'm not smart enough to understand the satire. I'm out, I certainly won't watch s 2. But it will certainly be enough for some award.

One Day (2024)

Finally a beautiful story with love and a real story

I don't know the book or any other movies about it. I must confess I was very skeptical because nowadays beautifully written and filmed normal interesting love stories can be seen very rarely, even on Netflix. Well cast, beautiful narrative style and always interestingly written. Thanks to the screenwriters! I love that everything was unagitatedly staged, with wit and good soundtrack. Which, by the way, does not drown the text. (also something that has recently occurred again and again). So worth seeing, you are curious how the story of the couple develops. Except that the wine glasses are touched like whisky glasses, which is very wrong, I enjoyed this series.

Twilight (1998)

I love the movie because it corresponds to the classic Hollywood movies.

A fim that no longer fits into today's time (irony) he has a real story, real actors (not muscularly pumped up non- actors.) and good camera. Even if the script has shortcomings, the good actors make up for it. The film does not have a significant message, it does not explain the world, it has normal tasteful scenes when 2 people are facing. It is simply a blessing in this day and age to see a normal crime film. Who has no fake action scenes, is not brutal and does not represent female superheroes that do not exist. I know the times have changed, but such films are still pleasant to watch. Enjoy it while it can still be seen in streaming. Oh, and a lot of up-and-coming young stars can still be seen.

I thought this series was quite nice. Good costumes, a star as the main actor, stilted language. All of this was certainly expensive in production. That's what the average American viewer expects. But everything in the story is predictable, sometimes boring. You could have made so much more of the topic. I am very sorry that the series is compared to GOT. An excellent series that is historically correct, also very gripping and realistic is The Last Kingdom. Of course, it wasn't that expensive and that's worthy of criticism 😂. But she has something I miss here very much, a great script, a great cast und Teamwork. . Unfortunately, the so-called "industry" did not find this worthy of award.

Wouldn't have watched the film even though I'm a huge Gosling fan. Why, because I didn't want to see the boy from bridgerton. But the crew as a whole made up for it. Good action thriller , but why was it so expensive ? Maybe because of the fees. Recommended but not exceptional.

Finally a film on the big screen that does the artist justice! Finally a demanding film, finally a director has dared to bring this icon humanely and artistically to the big screen! Thanks to baz's own research and the great austin, it turned out brilliantly. Not forgetting tom hanks as narrator, he did an excellent job of capturing the twilight of tom parker. I wholeheartedly recommend the film, especially for those viewers who only remember the white jumpsuit.

Clickbait (2021)

interesting topic, unfortunately got lost on the last stretch

I thought the topic was well dealt with up to half of the way, but then too many striking characters suddenly appeared in the story. That left me with a stale aftertaste, as if I should be lectured. It didn't do the story any good.
