While I understand that this is supposed to be a comedy I can't find anything funny about trying to commit suicide! Yes I know that it takes place in another time and now it's a whole lot different with more talking about depression and such! Still I was growing up around that time and have dealt with depression all my life! Either way I don't find anything funny about suicide! I can see that trying to make "light" of the situation was written in the script for J. J.'s benefit of being funny! The actor that played the "washed up" basketball star was good in the way he performed being someone that just took an overdose! Too bad the story just stopped there and didn't continue in the next episode! But most of the episodes never did get a real ending!
