Love Eddie Murphy but really?

This is a "comedy" about race in America .

It is formulaic, not at all funny and a frankly not worth investigating any time in. I love murphies acting, from Beverly Hills cop to Mr church, but this film is beneath him.

It uses outdated stereotypes of black and Jewish people which are quite frankly derogatory to all parties, including the viewer.

The phrase "black people and white people can never be happy together " is used.

Who believes this in the 21st century, such an outdated view.

People are people Skin pigment has nothing to do with it.

This film is trying to fix a problem, racism, by actually pointing out difference, when in reality we all have far more in common than issues that separate us.

Lastly the language used, again stereotypical.

It appears to be how a rich white guy perceives how poor black people live.

If you don't live in this virtual hood it can be jarring at times.

Definitely a miss from me.
